Did Paris Jackson subtly announce her engagement three months ago?
While Jackson, 26, formally confirmed on Friday, December 6, that boyfriend Justin Long (no relation to the actor of the same name) popped the question, she appeared to wear her diamond ring on that finger back in September.
Michael Jackson’s daughter was seen sporting a similar ring when she attended Nina Ricci’s Paris Fashion Week presentation at the Hotel Potocki. Paris’ square-shaped bauble complemented her white blazer and an assortment of other gold rings.
Paris went on to flaunt her engagement ring in a Friday Instagram post, which served as tribute for Long’s birthday.
“Happy birthday, my sweet Blue,” Paris wrote, referring to Long by his nickname. “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind and I couldn’t dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with.”
She concluded, “Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”
In one of Paris’ uploads, Long got down on bended knee while presenting Paris with a solitaire diamond ring. She subsequently dropped to her own knees, wrapping her arms around Long’s neck before they shared a sweet kiss.
Paris and Long, her bandmate, have been together since 2022.
Paris is one of the late pop icon’s three children. The King of Pop, who died in 2009 at the age of 50, was also father to sons Prince, 27, and Bigi, 22. (Michael shared Prince and Paris with ex-wife Debbie Rowe, while he welcomed his youngest son via surrogate.)
“They always say, ‘Time heals.’ But it really doesn’t. You just get used to it,” Paris previously told Rolling Stone in 2017 in regards to her father’s death, which was ruled a homicide caused by a deadly combination of sedatives and propofol, a powerful anesthetic. “I live life with the mentality of ‘OK, I lost the only thing that has ever been important to me.’ So going forward, anything bad that happens can’t be nearly as bad as what happened before. So I can handle it.”
She added, “I feel him with me all the time.”
Paris also frequently honors her father during appearances and via social media.
“He would have been 65 years old today,” Paris wrote via Instagram in August 2023. “And he put 50 years of blood, sweat and tears and love and passion into doing what he did, so that I can stand up here on stage in front of you and scream into a microphone. So I owe everything to him.”
Before Paris found love with Long, she dated Michael Snoddy and Gabriel Glenn, respectively.
