Southern Charm’s Venita Aspen is not a fan of Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s new relationship.
“Imagine making a statement hard-launching a ‘connection’ and not even considering apologizing to the person you hurt,” Venita, 32, wrote via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 31. “But I guess that tracks.”
The Bravo star followed up with a photo of Ciara Miller — Amanda’s BFF and West’s on-again, off-again ex, for the uninitiated — with the message “love you” as Dijon’s “The Dress” played in the background.
Hours earlier, Amanda, 34, and West, 31, shocked viewers when they announced in a joint statement via their Instagram Stories that their friendship had turned into something more.
“Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” the pair wrote in their statement. “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
The statement continued, “As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”

To add fuel to the scandalous fire, Amanda once claimed she would never move on from her estranged husband Kyle Cooke with a fellow costar. (Amanda and Kyle, 43, announced their split in January after four years of marriage.)
“It’s not going to happen. I’m not touching any of my cast members,” Amanda claimed during a March 2026 episode of Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast.
Since Amanda and West’s relationship hard launch, several Bravo stars have expressed their support for Ciara.
Summer House’s Mia Calabrese shared a photo of Ciara on her Instagram Story as “Gorgeous” by Doja Cat played in the background.
KJ Dillard also shared a photo of Ciara from filming with the caption, “I love my big sisters for life.”
As for original cast member Lindsay Hubbard, she seemingly addressed the headlines when she shared a picture of controversial Love Is Blind contestant Alex Henderson.
“The new publicist?” she wrote via her Instagram Story hours after news broke of the announcement.
