A married high school gym teacher in Rhode Island has been arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a student, whom she admitted to sexting and kissing.
Alisha Crins started sending flirty messages to the male victim when he was a sophomore student at Ponaganset High School in Glocester, Rhode Island. Crins, 39, reportedly found his phone number online while he was her student, according to charging documents obtained by WPRI.
Their exchanges escalated from flirty messages to her sending him naked pictures and videos. Additionally, the teen said that Crins kissed him twice, including one incident when she straddled him sexually in the back of his car, according to the complaint.
Crins admitted to police officers that she sent the inappropriate photos, kissed the boy and discussed plans to have sex, per court documents. However, she insisted that their relationship was “never physical.”
She first started to flirt with the boy when she told him he “looked good” and asked him if she could wear his sweatshirt. The affidavit also stated that she teasingly asked him what he would buy her for her birthday.
Crins “proceeded to ask him for a kiss” and gave him her address. Once the boy arrived at her home, she jumped into his car, and they parked on a side street.
“I can’t believe I’m going to do this … You can’t tell anybody,” Crins allegedly told him before they kissed for about 15 minutes.
Investigators said that Crins bombarded the boy with flattering texts in the following days, which included messages about how he was a “good kisser” and how she couldn’t “stop thinking about his lips.”
Weeks later, she invited him over again and she straddled him in the back seat of his car. The affidavit stated that they engaged in sexual contact as they kissed.
While speaking to police, the teenager — who graduated from the high school in spring 2025 — showed authorities a handful of racy photos and videos that captured Crins in lingerie. He added that she sent the photos to him when he was just 17 years old.
Additionally, Crins admitted to authorities that she sent the boy nude photos and videos of herself when he turned 18.
Both Crins and the boy told investigators that they discussed having sex, though they never actually slept together.
Crins also told investigators that she asked the student to stop messaging her “due to her being his teacher as well as being married,” according to the affidavit.
The student filed a formal complaint against Crins with the Rhode Island State Police in October 2025, and a criminal investigation was immediately launched into the matter.
Crins was charged on Friday, February 27, with two counts of third-degree sexual assault. She is next scheduled to appear in court on March 18 for her arraignment.
It is not currently clear if Crins has retained legal representation or entered a plea. The Glocester Police Department did not immediately respond to Luxury Handbag Shopping’s request for comment.
Foster-Glocester superintendent Dr. Renee Palazzo previously confirmed in October 2025 that Crins was no longer employed by the school district, according to the New York Post.
