A Venezuelan man who was sentenced to federal prison after he was caught allegedly posing as a teenager and attending an Ohio high school is facing a criminal sex offense, according to court records.

On Wednesday, March 25, Anthony Emmanuel Labrador-Sierra, 24, was charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor in Wood County, Ohio, court records viewed by Luxury Handbag Shopping show. The charge is considered a second-degree felony.

Labrador-Sierra, who will turn 25 on March 27, pleaded guilty to the charge on Thursday, March 26, WTOL-TV reported. He also pleaded guilty to a forgery offense related to a false birth certificate.

The sex charge comes after Labrador-Sierra, who was accused of illegally living in Perrysburg, was sentenced to two years in federal prison in January in connection with allegedly “lying on immigration forms and on applications to purchase a firearm,” according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio.

His federal case stemmed from when Perrysburg Schools reported to local authorities that they discovered Labrador-Sierra was pretending to be a teenager at Perrysburg High School, according to a criminal complaint and affidavit filed in May 2025.

Federal agents began investigating and discovered “he was not a minor but was instead a 24-year-old man who had enrolled” at the school “under false pretenses,” prosecutors said.

According to a police report obtained by WTOL-TV, Labrador-Sierra had pretended to be a 16-year-old student when he first enrolled at the high school. He allegedly represented to the school that he was homeless from Venezuela and was a human trafficking victim, the report says.

The school previously told the TV station that they were not informed of the human trafficking claims.

While attending Perrysburg High School, Labrador-Sierra played for the school’s soccer team and swim team, WTOL-TV reported.

In September 2025, Labrador-Sierra pleaded guilty in federal court to possession of a firearm by an alien unlawfully in the U.S., making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm, and making or using false writings or documents, according to prosecutors.

Following his two-year federal prison sentence, prosecutors said he will be “taken into administrative immigration custody.”

A public defender who represented Labrador-Sierra in his federal case did not immediately return Us’ request for comment on March 26.

Labrador-Sierra’s new sex offense relates to an incident that occurred between January and May of 2025, according to court records viewed by WTOL-TV.

As a result of his guilty plea, prosecutors recommended that he serve a sentence that will run consecutively with his federal prison sentence, the TV station reported.

State court records for the pandering sexually oriented matter charge did not list an attorney Labrador-Sierra as of the afternoon of March 26.

His sentencing in the case was scheduled for May 7, according to WTOL-TV.
