Confessed killer Bryan Kohberger hasn’t had the easiest of times behind bars.

Since receiving his four life sentences for the murders of four University of Idaho students in July 2025, Kohberger has filed a number of complaints with prison administrators. The Pennsylvania man has expressed issues with everything from the quality of the prison food to the way his fellow inmates treat him.

In January 2026, several reports surfaced suggesting Idaho prison officials were eager to get rid of Kohberger, with “aggressive” negotiations ongoing between a handful of out-of-state prisons who might be willing to assume responsibility for the mass killer.
