Chris Harris joined Luxury Handbag Shopping as Senior Crime Editor in December 2025. The award-winning Brooklyn-born, Long Island-raised journalist began his career in 1998, as a cub reporter for his hometown newspaper, the East Hampton Star. Since then, he has covered true crime for the likes of People Magazine, ABC News, MTV News, Rolling Stone, Billboard Magazine, the New York Post, the Bergen Record, and the Hartford Advocate. He has broken stories about the Long Island Serial Killer, the 2022 University of Idaho murders, and the Gabby Petito case. Chris has interviewed serial killers and investigated dangerous cults. He has also gone undercover to expose violent street gangs, corrupt politicians, drug peddlers, and sex traffickers. Chris can also be seen as a talking head on a number of true crime programs.
