Past and present cast members of The Real Housewives of Orange County offered Meghan King their public support during her recent custody battle.
After Luxury Handbag Shopping confirmed in November 2025 that King temporarily lost custody of her three children with ex-husband Jim Edmonds following an investigation by Child Protective Services, many Bravo stars expressed their hopes that details surrounding the case can be more private.
“She didn’t put this on the show,” Gina Kirschenheiter told Luxury Handbag Shopping while attending a fundraiser for The Innocence Center with Emily Simpson and Shannon Beador on Sunday, November 23. “This is what people pull from legal documents, and I think this really highlights a bigger issue, which is nobody should be privy to these kind of documents that expose children in this way.”
King documented her life with Edmonds on The Real Housewives of Orange County between seasons 10 and 12. When announcing her departure from the Bravo reality show in January 2018, King expressed gratitude for finding new friends through the show, including Tamra Judge.
In December 2025, King reached a custody deal with her ex. Edmonds’ rep confirmed the news to Us by sharing, “Both sides have reached an agreement that is in the best interests of the children.”

Alexis Bellino

Days before news broke that King and Edmonds had reached a custody deal, Bellino offered support to her former colleague.
“Meghan and I are friends, and I will stand by her and support her,” she exclusively told Us at iHeartRadio 102.7 KIISFM’s JIngle Ball. “All I can say is that I know that it’s very difficult, and I just adore her and it’s not easy. I don’t believe everything I read. So I would speak to her before I could comment on anything further.”
Tamra Judge
After seeing an Instagram post reporting on the change in King’s custody situation, Judge offered support to her former costar.
“Thoughts and prayers ❤️,” she wrote in the comments section of a November 20 post about the news. “You’re an amazing mom.”
On the November 25 episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s in a Pod,” Judge said she has texted with King and her friend is “devastated.”
“Her family is [also] devastated. To have your children taken away from you by a third party, I couldn’t even imagine,” she told cohost Dolores Catania. “I’ve always known her as a good mom and a good person, and she’s got an amazing family. … I just hope everything gets back to normal before the holidays for her. Everybody pray for her.”
Gina Kirschenheiter and Shannon Beador

“It is very sad and unfortunate anytime that anyone’s children are in the press,” Kirschenheiter told Us while attending a fundraiser for The Innocence Center. “I fully believe that we don’t know what’s going on in that household, and nobody should be commenting about what’s going on in that household. She’s not even on the show anymore. She obviously has a lot going on and a lot to deal with. I really just wish them and their children well.”
Beador replied, “I would second that well.”
Emily Simpson

In season 19 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Simpson bravely opened up about her son’s ARFID diagnosis. According to the Bravo star, past and present viewers shouldn’t make snap decisions about what a parent is going through with their child on or off the show.
“I have a lot going on with [my son] Luke, which I have had for six months, and I would hate for someone to judge anything going on,” Simpson told Us at a fundraiser for The Innocence Center. “I don’t know the circumstances. I don’t know the facts of this situation, so I don’t want to speculate and make a judgment.”
Kelly Dodd
In a TikTok posted on November 19, Dodd praised King as an “excellent mother.”
“I just pray that she gets her babies back,” Dodd shared. “Everyone, just pray for Meghan and her family. Those boys and that daughter need their mom. They need their mother, and it’s terrible what is going on right now.”
While the former Real Housewives of Orange County star acknowledged she “had a lot of differences” with King when they filmed together, one thing remained true.
“She loves those babies,” Dodd proclaimed. “She loves those kids. And I know, for a fact, she’s a good mother.”
