NewsNation senior national correspondent Brian Entin believes answers will come regarding what happened to Nancy Guthrie.

“Based on everything that I know, and in my gut, I really feel like there is going to be a resolution to this case,” Entin, 40, exclusively shared with Luxury Handbag Shopping on Wednesday, April 8. “I have sources, and I know behind the scenes how hard they’re working, and there’s this task force that was set up. They’re working full time around the clock, not only the local detectives, but there are dedicated FBI agents who are so determined.”

News broke on February 1 that Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mom, Nancy, had been reported missing in Tucson, Arizona, after not attending a virtual church service.

Entin traveled to Nancy’s hometown the next day and spent nearly 43 days straight in the city. He continues to make regular visits and doesn’t plan on stopping.

“I can’t imagine that at some point there’s not going to be a lucky break,” Entin continued. “The DNA evidence is still being tested. They’re still trying to do genetic genealogy, and that technology is advancing every single day.”

Another point that keeps Entin hopeful is the fact that Savannah, 54, and her family have a $1 million reward for Nancy’s recovery.

“I think there’s either going to be a lucky break where someone’s going to finally do the right thing and call and going to want the million, or the DNA is going to come through,” Entin shared. “One day I’m going to get that call, and it’s going to be like, ‘Race to this location because an arrest is coming.’ I will be on the first flight, trust me.”

This certainly isn’t the first major case Entin has covered in his career. From the death of Gabby Petito to Bryan Kohberger’s shocking trial, the NewsNation journalist has seen America captivated by a variety of cases.

At this point in time, Entin firmly believes that Nancy’s disappearance is not a cold case.

“If I felt like it was going cold, I would tell you. I just don’t,” he told Us. “We have the picture of the suspect. Something is going to break. And I know for us, it feels like forever. It’s now been more than two months. But when I talk to these detectives, they break cases five, 10 years later. I don’t think it’s going to be that long in this case, but I do think for sure there’s going to be a break.”

Although Entin continues to cover Nancy’s disappearance tirelessly, he’s happy to work for a company that spotlights many missing people all year long.

Every Friday on NewsNation Live With Marni Hughes, viewers are able to watch the “Missing” series, which highlights other missing cases across the country.

“We don’t just highlight them, we do a whole in-depth story and interview family members every week,” Entin explained. “When people tell me, ‘Oh, you only care about Nancy Guthrie because she’s the mother of a celebrity,’ I’m glad that I can at least highlight, ‘No, our network actually does do these other cases.’”

As for why so many Americans remain captivated by Nancy’s disappearance, Entin believes it’s simple.

“Everybody thinks about their own mom, and you’re worried about your parents as they get older, and they’re trying to live alone, and what if something bad happens?” he asked. “I think people connected to it for that reason.”

Watch NewsNation for Entin’s reporting. The “Missing” series airs on NewsNation Live With Marni Hughes Fridays at 9 p.m. ET.
