The two women suing LeBron James over an alleged car crash involving his son Bronny James have dismissed the NBA star from the court battle, Luxury Handbag Shopping can exclusively report.

According to court documents obtained by Us, April Lopez and Kiara McGillen informed the court of their decision on June 20.

Lopez and McGillen said their lawsuit against Bronny, 20, will continue, but all claims against LeBron, 40, are dismissed.

The dismissal came after Lopez and McGillen reached a deal with LeBron to drop him from the case over an accident on November 13, 2022, in Los Angeles.

In the lawsuit, Lopez and McGillen accused Bronny of being negligent while driving on the day in question. In court documents, Lopez said she suffered injuries from the crash, including neck pain, back pain and headaches.

In addition, Lopez alleged that her car was damaged and required repairs. Both of the women said they lost out on wages due to being out of work.

“[Lopez and McGillen] allege that the events, injuries, losses, and damages complained of in [Lopez and McGillen’s] complaint, if any there were, were unavoidable insofar as these answering defendants are concerned and occurred without any negligence, want of care, default or other breach of duty to plaintiffs on the part of said [LeBron and Bronny].”

LeBron and his son also argued that Lopez and McGillen were responsible for any alleged injuries. They said that the women did suffer any injuries, “such loss, damage or injury was proximately caused and contributed to by [Lopez and McGillen] in failing to conduct themselves in a manner ordinarily expected of a reasonably prudent person in the conduct of their affairs and person.”
