Cameran Eubanks sure knows how to charm an audience.
Since she helped launch Bravo’s Southern Charm in 2014, the former reality star has developed a loyal following thanks to her honest opinions and quick wit that can make any gentleman shake in his South Carolina-approved boat shoes.
Then, to the shock of those who considered her the glue of the show, Cameran decided to step away from Southern Charm in 2020.
“I had a child, and since becoming a mother, my priorities had changed. I also felt like I was at a different place in my life, and I just didn’t fit on the show anymore,” she wrote in her February 2021 memoir, One Day You’ll Thank Me, of her exit. “The drama on reality TV lately has taken a dark turn and become something I don’t want to associate myself with anymore. False accusations can be made, and nasty rumors can be started for the sake of a ‘good show.’ It just started to feel a bit icky.”
As Southern Charm wraps up season 11 in March 2026, Luxury Handbag Shopping is taking a look at Cameran’s current reality.
Keep reading to see how the legendary Bravo star is enjoying her private life away from the cameras:
What Is Cameran Eubanks Known for on ‘Southern Charm’?
As an original cast member of Southern Charm, Cameran Eubanks deserves credit for making the reality show one of Bravo’s longest-running hit series.
She was the primary narrator and “voice of reason” for the show as the cast dealt with plenty of drama.
While much of the cast agreed to live their whole lives in front of the cameras, Cameran’s husband, Jason Wimberly, did not appear on the show (except for a minor cameo in season 6). She also didn’t feature her daughter, Palmer, regularly on the show.
When Did Cameran Eubanks Leave ‘Southern Charm’?

In May 2020, Cameran Eubanks confirmed on social media that she would not be returning to Southern Charm ahead of season 7.
At the time, rumors surfaced that her husband had been unfaithful, but Cameran strongly denied the allegations and confirmed her exit had nothing to do with the alleged scandal.
“My decision was made and given to Bravo months ago and had absolutely nothing to do with ridiculous and fake rumors about my marriage,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “Please disregard any fabricated rumor. It’s a ploy for ratings and that’s it. Drama is needed to stay relevant on reality television and sadly false rumors about other are sometimes created. Make of that what you will and consider the source. Now I absolutely know I was smart to leave the party early. My gut has never failed me.”
Why Did Cameran Eubanks Really Leave ‘Southern Charm’?
In her 2021 memoir titled One Day You’ll Thank Me, Cameran Eubanks offered a deeper glimpse into why she left Southern Charm.
“My mantra with social media if you are on a reality show: You don’t like the heat? Get out of the kitchen,” she wrote. “Well, get out of the kitchen is exactly what I did after season six … It was time to move on.”
After making her reality TV debut on The Real World: San Diego in 2004, Cameran said she was confident in her decision to leave life in front of the cameras behind.
“I’m pretty certain I am done with reality TV, though,” she wrote. “I’ve got two shows under my belt, and at this point I am enjoying the simpler life without a camera in my face.”
Has Cameran Eubanks Come Close to a Reality TV Return?

In February 2026, rumors spread online that a Southern Charm spinoff was in early development titled The Isles. The show would focus on Cameran and former costars Chelsea Meissner and Naomie Olindo living in the Charleston suburbs.
“This keeps being sent to me so addressing it here,” Cameran wrote via her Instagram Story at the time. “NOT TRUE 😂.”
What Is Cameran Eubanks Doing Today?
Cameran Eubanks continues to provide glimpses of her life on social media. In March 2026, the former reality star launched a fashion collection with Sail to Sable.
She also remains close with several past and present Southern Charm stars, including Whitney Sudler-Smith and Shep Rose.
“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past, 😝” Cameran wrote via Instagram in March 2025, quoting F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby after hanging out with the boys.
In early 2026, she celebrated Naomi Olindo’s engagement to Billy Haire alongside Chelsea Meissner.
“We are so happy for you and your new ring, I mean FIANCÉ!!” Cameran wrote via Instagram. “We love you @naomie_olindo! @wchaire5.”
