Benson Boone’s ex-girlfriend Maggie Thurmon appears to be making some claims against the singer following their split.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to screenshot a since-deleted TikTok comment from Thurmon, 23, alluding to the idea that the “Beautiful Things” singer, also 23, cheated during their two-year relationship.
“Bro if Benson cheated I will turn this car right around,” a fan commented on Thurmon’s TikTok video, which has since been taken down. According to screenshots shared via social media on Tuesday, October 14, Thurmon responded.
“Put your blinker on babe,” Thurmon allegedly wrote. She seemingly deleted the TikTok after it started gaining some traction online.
Turmon followed up in a separate TikTok comment about why she deleted the original video.
“I got overwhelmed. I’ve always been a more private online person, tonight I remembered why,” the comment read. “Thank you to everyone who was sending love, I appreciate y’all so much.”
A rep for Boone could not be reached.
Us confirmed last month that Boone and Thurmon had split after two years together. A source confirmed the former couple had broken up in early September and have since unfollowed each other on Instagram. (TMZ was first to break the split news at the time.)
Boone appeared to reference the breakup while taking the stage in Nashville on September 9.
“Sometimes people leave in life. Whether it’s the right thing or the wrong thing,” he said when introducing the song “In the Stars.”
“But it’s OK. That’s life, and it happens. But as terrible as it is, there is always something or someone that can pull you out of it,” he continued. “And for me, I usually say writing this song helps me a lot. But singing this song tonight is going to help me a lot tonight.”
Thurmon appeared to refer to the breakup in late September, telling followers on her book club’s Instagram account that she “kind of disappeared” from the internet.
“I was … something happened and I’m now touching grass at my parents house in Georgia,” she said in the September 29 clip, asking fans if they’ve ever experienced a reading slump.
“The things that are currently making me sad, the things I’m overthinking, the things I, like, can’t get out of my brain — I haven’t been able to push them aside long enough to get into a story,” she explained.
Boone and Thurman took their relationship public in March 2024 when attending Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards viewing party together. Thurman was the first one to post about their romance on social media, sharing a video of her and Boone holding hands months later.
Throughout their relationship, the former couple packed on the PDA during several red carpet appearances. Thurman even supported Boone by standing by his side at multiple awards shows.
Boone couldn’t help but gush over his relationship during a November 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“[I love] her whole personality, who she is,” he gushed. “She has great parents. She was raised very well. She’s just the sweetest and the kindest. And she’s a beautiful girl, so I can’t help it.”
