There’s a new member of the Twilight coven on the way.
“What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?🤍,” Taylor Lautner wrote via Instagram on Thursday, March 26, sharing maternity photos of himself kissing wife Tay Lautner’s baby bump while she held up a sonogram.
Years before Taylor married Tay in 2022, he starred in the Twilight franchise as werewolf Jacob Black. The movies, adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s novels of the same name, chronicled human Bella (Kristen Stewart) and her love triangle with vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and Taylor’s Jacob.
As for Tay, she grew up a devoted fan of the series — even if she was Team Edward in the first place.
“They’re so magical for me, so it’s probably one of my favorite movie franchises and books,” Tay gushed on a January 2025 episode of the couple’s “The Squeeze” podcast. “To me, you and Jacob are two different people because I watched the movies before I knew you. And knowing you as a full-blown adult, it’s not the same human to me.”
Taylor and Tay have also taken their time to expand their brood.
“Sometimes we get a little nervous. How do we raise kids [who] are going to be able to speak up for themselves or feel like they can talk to us about this? It scares me,” Tay previously told Luxury Handbag Shopping exclusively in 2024. “How do you raise a child now? I’m very thankful for people like Dr. [Daniel] Amen and a lot of my friends have kids or are just having kids. Getting to watch them walk through it and having the support from people like Dr. Amen to help facilitate independence, or whatever it may be, is great.”
Nearly two years later, Tay predicted the couple’s next steps as a family of three.
“Because so much of our life is public, I wanted to keep that special time [when we got married to ourselves],” Tay said on the March 18 episode of her podcast. “I wonder how I’m going to be when I get pregnant and have kids, what that will be. I’m just so curious [about] what I’m going to feel in the moment.”

Peter Facinelli
Peter Facinelli starred in the film franchise as vampire patriarch Carlisle Cullen.
“❤️❤️❤️ whaaaat? Amazing. Congrats. 🎈🍾🎉 love you guys,” Facinelli wrote via Instagram comment.
Taylor replied, writing, “@peterfacinelli love you!!!!! ❤️.”
Jackson Rathbone
Jackson Rathbone, who played Jasper Hale in the Twilight franchise, thought Taylor and Tay should name their baby “Taylor Taylor Lautner Lautner.”
“HUGE congrats! It’s the best thing in the world,” Rathbone added. “You’re gonna be such a fun dad!!!
Taylor, for his part, responded to Rathbone’s name suggestion with a pair of laughing emoji.
Nikki Reed
“Oh my goodness, heart bursting,” Nikki Reed, who portrayed Rosalie Hale in the vampire films, gushed via Instagram comment. “I love you guys. I can’t wait to watch your journey as parents unfold.”
Taylor, who recently reconnected with Reed on a November 2025 episode of his and Tay’s “The Squeeze” podcast, responded, “Love you Niks.”
