Baby Lautner is on the way as Taylor Lautner‘s wife, Tay Lautner, is pregnant with their first baby.
“What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?🤍,” the couple captioned maternity photos via Instagram on Thursday, March 26.
Taylor, 34, and Tay, 29, have been married since 2022, taking their time before expanding their family.
“Sometimes we get a little nervous. How do we raise kids [who] are going to be able to speak up for themselves or feel like they can talk to us about this? It scares me,” Tay exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping in 2024. “How do you raise a child now? I’m very thankful for people like Dr. [Daniel] Amen and a lot of my friends have kids or are just having kids. Getting to watch them walk through it and having the support from people like Dr. Amen to help facilitate independence or whatever it may be is great.”
Despite Tay’s nerves, she knew that she eventually wanted to have a family with the actor.
“Definitely [at] some time at some point, there will be [kids],” she gushed to Us. “He’s a gem. He’s my golden retriever — that’s what I call him. He’s just joy on Earth.”
As for Taylor, the the Twilight star has long wanted to become a father.
“Yes, I absolutely love kids, I love family,” Taylor told Entertainment Tonight in December 2016. “So, one day, I very much look forward to that.”
Taylor’s sister, Makena Moore, introduced the Scream Queens alum and Tay and sparks instantly flew between the twosome. In September 2018, the couple went Instagram official, with Tay posting a sweet photo of the couple.
“ITS WEDDING SZN (Not ours tho hehe),” the nurse wrote at the time.
After nearly three years of dating, the duo took to social media to announce their engagement in November 2021.
“11.11.2021,” Taylor captioned Instagram photos of the proposal. “And just like that, all of my wishes came true.”
Tay, for her part, shared an equally sweet message on her own account: “My absolute best friend. I CANNOT WAIT TO SPEND FOREVER WITH YOU.”
The actor proposed in the couple’s kitchen after Tay told him she did not want an extravagant proposal.
“Tay always told me she didn’t want anything big or elaborate; she preferred something intimate,” Taylor told Vogue in November 2022. “One night, she suggested I just do it in the kitchen over dinner and a glass of wine. So I ended up doing it in the kitchen, but I did it big in the kitchen.”
The couple made their red carpet debut in April 2022 at the CMT Music Awards and several months later, Taylor revealed that Tay would take his last name — so they both will be named Taylor Lautner.
“We’re literally going to be the same person,” the Valentine’s Day star admitted on The Kelly Clarkson Show in August 2022.
The pair officially tied the knot in November 2022 after a one-year engagement.
Over the years, Taylor and Tay have expressed their love for each other on social media.
“Happy birthday to the sweetest soul I know and my absolute best friend ❤️your ability to impact people’s lives in the most beautiful way rivals your ability to catch objects in the most random of places. I love you @taydome,” he shared on Instagram for Tay’s birthday in March 2022.
For Taylor’s 30th birthday, Dome posted a photo of the couple with the caption: “You are my greatest love. The one I look up to. My number one supporter. So lucky I get to call you mine. Happy birthday, my sunshine. Cheers to a new decade of love, laughter & life🥂#30flirtyandthriving.”
Before his romance with the California native, Lautner was previously linked to Taylor Swift in 2009, Lily Collins in 2011, Marie Avgeropoulos from 2013 to 2015 and Billie Lourd in 2017.
