Snoop Dogg’s daughter, Cori Broadus, and her fiancé, Wayne Duece, are mourning the death of their late infant, Codi Dreaux.
“We love you forever, baby girl,” Duece, 33, wrote via Instagram Stories on Saturday, February 7, alongside images from the memorial service. “LongLiveCodiDreaux.”
Broadus, 26, and Duece both wore brown suits for the somber occasion, accessorizing with pops of pinks for their late daughter. They arrived to the cemetery in a pink car that said, “The princess has arrived in heaven” in gold writing on the hood.
“Fly high, Codi Dreaux,” Duece captioned a follow-up slide, revealing doves were released at the end of the service. “We love you, babygirl.”
Cori, the daughter of Snoop Dogg and wife Shante Broadus, prematurely gave birth to Codi in February 2025.
“That girl is so feisty. That’s a feisty girl. She’s so resilient and strong,” Cori exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping in September 2025 of her daughter’s NICU hospitalization. “She just has so much character. The doctors and nurses always tell me, ‘Your baby got her mind. She’s smart. She’s alert. She knows what’s going on. She can hear. She can see. Yeah, the circumstances are not what you thought they would be, but it could be worse.’ That girl is just a sweet little firecracker.”
She continued, “The NICU is a different type of experience, just like you gotta know to know, and it’s not an easy place to be but the support is amazing. “Sometimes I go in [the NICU] and I can’t stop crying, and I apologize. They’re like, ‘What are you [apologizing] for? This is normal. If you wasn’t crying, we would be worried. We’d be concerned, so just try to just stay close and just keep hope alive.’”
Codi was discharged from the NICU after six months on January 6, weeks before she suddenly died.
“Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” Cori wrote via Instagram on January 31. “20 days later? Dawg, I’m sick.”
Duece also issued a statement after his daughter’s death.
“I been [sic] the saddest since u left me, Codi Dreaux,” he wrote via his Instagram Stories that same day. “But, I know [you are] at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby. #LongLiveCodiDreaux.”
Cori and Duece, who have been together since 2018, have had the support from her famous family and their loved ones after their daughter’s heartbreaking death.
“My BerriBo, my Codi Bear. You came in my dreams to let me know you’re OK,” Cori’s baby nurse wrote in a social media tribute late last night. “I love you, babygirl. I’ve been sad for six days straight. Being a nurse has its ups and downs, and this is the biggest down I ever experienced. It was such a pleasure being my babygirl’s nurse. I gave her one last bath, told her I loved her and didn’t even know I was getting her ready for Heaven.”
Cori’s brother Cordell Broadus also shared his condolences, telling his sibling in an Instagram message that, “Lil sis, we got you forever.”
