Chanel West Coast is finally feeling herself again after welcoming her daughter, Bowie, in 2022.
“I feel way better. I feel like I’m finally back to my original body,” West Coast, 36, exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping at the Hollywood Christmas Parade supporting Marine Toys for Tots on Sunday, December 1. “It’s been a lot of hard work.”
West Coast (real name Chelsea Chanel Dudley) added that she’s been under “a little bit of stress recently” which has contributed to her slim figure. While West Coast didn’t share what was contributing to her worries recently, she took to social media last month asking for prayers as her father was diagnosed with an inoperable tumor.
“I look at the positives in every negative. I’m dealing with a stressful situation,” she explained. “But hey, look, I’m getting a little skinnier because of it. I’m really happy to be skinny again. I guess you could say.”
West Coast and boyfriend Dom Fenison welcomed daughter Bowie Breeze, 2, in November 2022. As Bowie gets older, West Coast has been documenting her little one’s milestones. For her recent birthday, West Coast threw her daughter an adorable western-themed party which was a massive hit.
“That was the best theme,” West Coast gushed. “I wish we could throw a rodeo-themed birthday for her every year.”
As Bowie enters her toddler era, West Coast teased that her daughter sometimes acts older than she is.
“I feel like she’s two going on 20,” West Coast joked. “She’s really sweet, but she can be very feisty. The terrible twos are brewing.”
Since giving birth, West Coast has been candid about her experience trying to get back to her pre-baby weight. As she struggled, the reality star turned to liposuction — which she shared had a “long recovery process.”
“I will say it was a lot rougher than my friends made it out to be,” she exclusively told Us on the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet in September. “But that’s why I wanted to be open because I think a lot of girls don’t know how rough these things are and they think, ‘Oh, you just pop out skinny and it’s a miracle.’”
The MTV personality admitted to Us that she went with liposuction rather than Ozempic, which she has reservations about.
“I think it’s a shot. I’m just scared of stuff like that,” she told Us in September. “I heard that if you stop taking Ozempic, you could possibly gain more weight. I’m like, ‘Well, that’s not what I want to do.’”
