The Chanel Jewels That Stole the Show for Fall-Winter 2026

As the fashion press (us included) rhapsodized about Matthieu Blazy’s latest grouping of handbags, steeply dropped waistlines, and ethereal and iridescent fabrics, the jewelry barely received a mention. But pay attention because the bold pieces catching the light on ears, necks, and wrists may be your next must-haves.

Not coincidentally, the inspiration comes from Coco Chanel. Blazy describes his Chanel collectsion as “an ongoing conversation between Gabrielle Chanel and Matthieu Blazy.” Nowhere is that conversation more visible than in the jewelry. The pieces suggest that in these ‘tête-a-têtes’, he was reminded of her love for layering multiple long sautoir necklaces and big bold statement pieces of costume jewelry.

This gem-inspired sautoir harkens to the Chanel styles of the ‘80s and ‘90s: strands of multi-shaped multi-colored gripoix stones, mixed and matched with chains, beads, and pearls.

Even as that solo colored sautoir was striking, multiple long necklaces mixed large and small pearls, beads, chains, and charms, for a look that was classically Coco.

Closer to the neck, the short necklaces are no less bold. Large amber colored stones encased in metal create a piece designed to finish an outfit, with another version in a purple hue.

Chanel-coded leather-enlaced chains twisted together create another short necklace; one version has white, black, and wine, and another is yellow, red, and wine.

A similar wrapped effect was created from a combination of pearls, charms, chains, and beads. Look closely and you’ll find an I-Spy-book-worthy collectsion of a canary, a fish, and a mushroom, embedded in the piece.

A simpler short neckalce alternated pearls with washer-shaped studded beads, shown in red and black.

Coco’s love for bold statement-making earrings and bracelets is also reflected on Blazy’s runway. The latest bracelet isn’t Verdura-coded, as Coco favored. But it is a chunky oversized CC shape in rounded gold or silver metal designed to be noticed, even if not an entirely new concept.

Earrings might have had the boldest moment. One set was in a classic jewelry suite — matching large dangling earrings and a tiered, cascading necklace anchored by a graphic cross motif, with colored crystals and oversized hanging pearl tiers — suggestive of an earlier era.

More modern are oversized chunky stones that nearly cover the ear, whether a clear or green rectangle, or a soft pink stone. Another drop earring places a large green teardrop stone beneath an aquamarine-colored rectangle for maximum impact. Another pair matched the amber-colored choker.

Flowers again inspire Blazy in this collectsion, as seen in a Chanel preshow IG post. The large feathery flower from his first collectsion reappears in both fabric and enamel, as brooches and adornments on ensembles. At times, it introduced the outfit, for others it was the final glance.

It would be easy to walk away from the Chanel Fall-Winter 2026 show talking only about the clothes and handbags. But Coco Chanel never saw jewelry as an afterthought — she saw it as the exclamation point. For this collectsion, Blazy was listening to her. So, consider this your early warning to start paying attention — and saving up. And as Coco advised — take off one piece before you leave home.
