Fast-forward 20 years to the 2024 soirée held on Wednesday, October 9, at Chelsea Piers in New York City. There was no shortage of stars who came dressed to impress, but a few stood out from the stylish pack. Kaia Gerber celebrated her venerated spot on the TIME100 Next list in fresh-off-the-runway Ferragamo, while honoree Sabrina Carpenter sang "Espresso" and "Please Please Please" in shimmering chainmail Versace. Another memorable look came courtesy of Anna Sawai, who this year became the first Japanese actress to win an Emmy and the first Asian actress to win an Emmy in the Lead Actress in a Drama Series category for Shōgun; the New Zealand-born actress made a toast dressed in soigné Tory Burch separates.
