Ngo's makeup look was designed by celebrity makeup artist Eve Pearl (clients include Meredith Vieira and Kelly Ripa) in New York City. Makeup artist Carola Myers (who has worked with Barack Obama) recreated the look on the big day.
Ngo accented her $3,900 French tulle Vera Wang gown with $12,590 worth of Tacori jewels. The pattern on the gown matched the couple's Ceci New York wedding invitations.
Ngo and Oberly caught their first prewedding glimpse of each other in the lobby of the Loews Madison Hotel. Photographer Robert Evans -- who shot Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' 2006 wedding -- captured the moment on camera.
The couple -- who met on the job as patent examiners! -- cut a Sylvia Weinstock cake made up of four tiers. Fillings in the dessert, which cost $4,050 -- or $27 per slice? Raspberry, coconut, hazelnut and chocolate mousse.
Oberly and Ngo had four attendants each. The bridesmaids wore chocolate brown Lela Rose tea-length gowns that were the same color, but not the same style.
Ngo and Oberly had originally ruled out the Ronald Reagan building. Their all-inclusive package (food, drinks, settings, lighting) costs about $34,000. WeddingChannel.com had a custom-made monogram created and broadcast on the wall for their reception.
Seven-piece band The Source by Elan Artists covered Michael Jackson and Coldplay. "I've never danced that much in my life!" Ngo tells Us.
Tables in the octagonal-shaped Ronald Reagan room where the wedding was held were decorated with four-foot tall centerpieces of tangerine orchids and cherry love roses by Janet Flowers (who styled one of Barack Obama’s inaugural balls).
Guests were given bright blue and pink tins of Garrett popcorn to take home. Ngo and Oberly also held a "dollar dance," and donated the more than $400 raised to charity group Soldier's Angels.
