Odessa A’zion set the record straight on if her mane is a wig or not.

A’zion, 25, opened up to Deadline on if her viral look is thanks to a wig or if she’s styling her long, voluminous curls herself at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, which were held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, on Sunday, January 4.

While posing on the red carpet, the I Love L.A. star was asked, “There are whole forums online just talking about your hair. You know that, right?”

A’zion admitted she’d been “told” her hair has been up for discussion. “”Yeah, there’s a whole debate [wondering], ‘Is it a wig?’ [or] ‘Is it not?’ I guess we’ll never know,” the Marty Supreme star quipped, giving the camera a playful shrug.

The actress then explained that was just “kidding” and would of course reveal if her hair was a wig or not.

“The gag is, the L.A. premiere [of Marty Supreme] was a wig, and the New York premiere, it took me five hours to do my hair,” she said. “And everyone thinks it’s a wig! You think I could afford a wig like that?”

A’zion added, “I’ve heard wigs like that could go up to $20,000 or $30,000. Are you f***ing kidding me? I don’t even have a hair, makeup, or stylist. I’m trying to save my money because what? That’s crazy.” A’zion added that “maybe one day” she would buy a wig that expensive.

“Marty Supreme star Odessa A’zion clears up those internet rumors about her hair,” Deadline captioned the TikTok video. Fans shared their reactions to the revelation in the comments section.

“5hrs is so real,” one wrote. Another added, “My hair looks like this. Idk why people think it’s a wig. Some people have thick curly hair. And with the right cut and products, you can make it look like this.” A third commented, “I think she still had extensions in but I had a feeling it was not a wig.”

At the Los Angeles premiere of Marty Supreme, A’zion donned shoulder-length hair that was styled in bouncy curls with pieces falling over her forehead. She styled her mane with soft glam, including tan skin, feathered eyebrows, blushed cheeks and lined, pink lips. To make her ensemble even hotter, she went topless underneath a plaid jacket and pleated high-waisted pants.

For the movie’s New York screening, A’zion looked gorgeous with tight, voluminous curls, which she also teamed with soft glam. The actress made her look even more noteworthy by wearing a black off-the-shoulder dress with short sleeves that draped down her arms, a fitted bodice, snatched waist and all-over beading.

A’zion stars in Marty Supreme alongside Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow. In the film, she rocks soft curls, which are larger than how she normally styles them herself. In the trailer, her mane, cut to her shoulders, is pulled back in a low ponytail and tossed behind her back.

Her go-to hairstyle was seen in I Love L.A., when her character, Tallulah Stiel wears long, tight curls with short bangs.
