The Stranger Things star, 12, shared the good news in a Wednesday, October 5, Instagram tease to the cover, wearing a moody floral Red Valentino dress underneath an oversize jean jacket. “Excited for you all to see this!” she captioned the photo that got over 61,000 likes from her 1.4 million followers.

Three days earlier, the biannual publication posted the cover where Brown gave some very Eleven vibes with her stern gaze. The actress, who was styled by Liz McClean, teamed a frilly and tiered pink Chloe dress and a gray T-shirt topped with a silk olive green bomber. Black Doc Martens boots added a dose of toughness to the look, one of many in the 20-page feature.

So It Goes, who had been teasing the issues since September 7, Instagrammed a few behind-the-scenes pics of Brown’s big shoot. In one September 8 upload, she made a funny face while wearing a red and black vertical-striped turtleneck tucked into a long gray skirt with oversize pockets and an obi belt. She got her groove on to Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” in a short September 9 video, “making everyone feel a little less talented,” according to a funny caption by the publication. For an action shot, as seen in a September 25 clip, she defied gravity by holding herself up in a doorframe as a photographer snapped away.

In an August Elle.com interview with Aaron Paul, Brown gushed about her larger-than-life career that began with the Netflix series. “I never knew, like, exactly what I wanted to do. You know, I’m 12!” she said. “I sort of knew I was a bit of a drama queen. I always threw tantrums, so I knew I wasn’t a normal child. I knew I wanted to do something.”
