Leighton Meester is all about a foolproof (and fun!) makeup routine.
Meester, 38, shared her go-to makeup routine during Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” episode on Thursday, February 27. She started her routine by cleansing her face with the Ursa Major Fantastic Face Wash. The actress made sure she got into each of her pores with the vibrating NagraCoola Clie 1 Facial Cleansing Brush, which she joked she gets a lot of comments on. “I use this really cool questionable device,” she said. “Let’s just keep it at that. It vibrates, which is really fun.”
After scrubbing her skin, Meester uses an eyelid cleaner, which helps her “dry eyes.” Next, the Gossip Girl alum pats the Klog Snail Mucin Energy Essence into her face and neck for extra hydration. As she applied the mucin made from real snails, Meester explained that her husband, Adam Brody, also enjoys the product.
To lock her skincare in, she used the Shani Darden Moisture Boost Plumping Serum, the EltaMD UV Restore Face Sunscreen and the brand’s tinted SPF.
Moving onto makeup, Meester fills her brows in with the Kosas Brow Pop Dual-Action Defining Brow Pencil.
As Meester perfected her brows, she opened up about falling in love with makeup when she was in her late teenage years. “I got really into sitting on the floor in front of the mirror makeup routine,” she explained. “I would basically do like five auditions in a day and so there was a moment of meditation.”
Skipping foundation because she prefers a natural base, Meester went into her eyes with the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow Palette and applied a light pigment to her lid. Meester built up the product with a touch of brown shadow in her inner corner, which she blended out into her waterline. The Nobody Wants This actress tied her eye look together with a touch of highlighter on each lid.
She then contoured her jawline and cheeks with the Tom Ford Soleil Sheer Cheek Highlighting Duo before elongating her lashes with the Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara.
Meester added a touch of body makeup to her look by applying the Chanel Baume Essentiel to her collar and brow bones. “You won’t believe that I’m using this,” she said of her low-key look. “I feel like it kind of looks cool, dewy and wet.”
Because no look is complete without a perfect pout, Meester lined her lips with the Dior Rouge Dior Contour Lip Liner before smudging it with her finger. She then filled in her lips with the Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm and set her look with the EarthTonics Botanical Toning Mist. “This was so much fun,” Meester said while blowing viewers a kiss.
