Kylie Jenner doesn’t mess around when it comes to a major hair transformation — even if it’s for one day.
Jenner, 27, took to Instagram on Sunday, December 29, to share that when she bleached her entire head platinum earlier this year, it was for an extremely short amount of time. In a photo dump highlighting moments from 2024, Jenner posted a selfie of her mane dripping wet right after being bleached platinum, a huge change from her signature dark brown tresses.
“What a YEAR ! (went blonde for 24 hrs 🙂),” Jenner captioned the post. “I can’t wait for 2025 🥳🥳🥳.”
Fans were just as surprised as Us to learn that Jenner changed her hair this year and shared their reactions in the comments section.
“YOU WENT BLONDE?! AND NO SELFIE TILL NOW?!?!?” one exclaimed, as another questioned, “You did what?”
More wanted her blonde era to last longer, writing, “We need more blonde kylie,” and “BLONDE BOMBSHELL IS BACK FOR 24 HRS?!?”
While she never debuted her blonde locks within the 24 hours she rocked the bright color, Jenner did sport a Marilyn Monroe–inspired wig while revisiting her King Kylie era this summer.
In June, she posted a pic of her rocking a curly and voluminous piece, featuring a side part with her mane cut above her chin. “Did someone say they missed king kylie,” Jenner captioned the photos, referencing her 2015 era where she donned teal hair and was often the center of attention.
Besides blonde, Jenner also sported a blue wig in September, making fans reminisce on her infamous era again. She later opened up about taking her blue hair out of retirement during her October profile with Elle.
“I had a free day,” she said, noting her glam team decided to have fun with the wig. [King Kylie] will always be a part of who I am, but it’ll never be what it was when I was younger,” she continued. “I probably would never wear lash extensions and thick eyebrows. There are just certain trends that I’ve grown out of.”
