Kim Kardashian is, once again, switching up her ‘do.
“👩🏼 About that time,” Kardashian, 44, wrote via Instagram on Friday, August 15, alongside a picture of her latest hair transformation.
In the snap, the Skims mogul puckered up for the camera as she showed off her newly lightened, nearly white blonde locks while lounging in her closet.
Kardashian’s new look quickly impressed her social media followers.
“I love blonde Kim so much,” celebrity hairstylist Scotty Cunha wrote in the comments section.
Kardashian’s longtime hair guru, Chris Appleton, also approved of the styling.
“The best 🤍,” Appleton, 42, commented.
While Kardashian is a natural brunette, she has frequently dyed her locks platinum blonde through the years. Kardashian even went ice-blonde for the Met Gala in 2022 and 2024, respectively.
“The hair look was simple to highlight the platinum color, giving the hair color and dress the attention,” Appleton told Vogue in 2022, referring to Kardashian wearing Marilyn Monroe’s classic bedazzled gown. “I wanted it to be iconic to Marilyn, but also iconic to Kim when she has her blonde moment.”
It took over 14 hours to dye Kardashian’s mane.
“This hair-dying process is so tedious and annoying. We don’t have a shampoo bowl, so we have to rinse it a million times. It is what it is,” she said on her family’s The Kardashians docuseries in a November 2022 episode. “It has to be the right color [and] my hair can’t fall out. We have to get it right because we have one day to dye it, so we are going to be up for the next 15 hours just dying it.”
Since it took so long to change the color, Kardashian wanted to keep up the look as long as possible.
“The roots are definitely growing out. I’m going to dye it soon. I’m going to stay blonde for a minute,” she said on Live With Kelly and Ryan in September 2022. “I’ve just been lazy [to bleach my roots]. It’s so much work.”
Kardashian ultimately went back and forth between dark and light throughout 2023, 2025 and earlier this year.
