Swirls for the girls! Katie Holmes and Jennifer Lawrence both turned to NYC-based designer Ulla Johnson for playful paisley dresses to wear while running errands in the Big Apple.
On April 17, just a day before daughter Suri turned 10, Holmes slipped on the brand’s $448 midi dress (barneys.com) with a tiered skirt to take on New York City. Her go-to burgundy leather jacket by Acne Studios ($1,600, acnestudios.com) toughened up the frock’s sweet navy, red and ecru print. The All We Had director, 37, toted her essentials in a blush leather top handle bag by Gucci ($2,990, gucci.com), and stomped the sidewalks of TriBeCa in plain black flats.
Lawrence also had a Manhattan moment on April 19. Joy’s lead, 25, took advantage of the city’s gorgeous weather and bared her legs in a shorter dropwaist dress in the same print ($415, barneys.com). Cutler and Gross’ round sunglasses ($500, saksfifthavenue.com) shielded her baby blues, and she stood 4.5 inches taller in Alexander Wang wedges ($535, net-a-porter.com).
