The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge—accompanied by her suited-up husband, Prince William—arrived at the memorial, bundled up in a double-breasted fuchsia coat by Mulberry. Beneath the topper, Middleton wore her second Seraphine dress of the trip. Black gloves, heels, opaque tights, and a small box clutch completed her morning ensemble.

The royal couple, who toured the touching tribute center while huddled beneath the Carlyle Hotel‘s giant umbrellas, visited the site to pay their respects to those lost in the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. The museum tells the story of what happened on that day across the United States. It also includes artifacts from the areas, and honors the victims with portraits and a quiet space to reflect.
