Embracing her inner little girl! Jen Atkin, celebrity hairstylist to all the Kardashian ladies, Chrissy Teigen and more, has a new It girl on her roster: Barbie.
"This really was a dream come true for me," Atkin tells Luxury Handbag Shopping. "I've always loved Barbie … She was my first client! I used to braid her hair and brush it out for a permed look, or cut it into different styles."

The founder of Ouai hair products was approached to create exclusive hairstyles for the doll. The results? Barbie with her best hair to date: a high ponytail, a chin-length bob, scarlet waves and a half-up ponytail. And yes, if they look a little familiar to you in all their badass glory, they probably are.
"I definitely think all of my celeb clients had some influence on the final Barbie looks," the hairstylist confesses. (If the blond bob seems familiar, that's because Atkin created a similar style for Khloé Kardashian. And the mini-pony is a favorite of Teigen's.) "I think models and celebs always inspire the everyday woman to change up her look. [But] there is no better muse than Barbie."

And that's because, according to the stylist, Barbie is real. "Barbie represents the modern woman — and modern women are diverse!" says Atkin, whose styled dolls have different skin tones and hair colors. "I love that Barbie represents women of all sizes, colors, shapes and hairstyles."
Indeed, Mattel launched dolls in petite, curvy and tall sizes for the first time in January. On the revolution, company VP Evelyn Mazzocco said, "We are excited to literally be changing the face of the brand — these new dolls represent a line that is more reflective of the world girls see around them."
