Even when Meghan Markle “wasn’t out talking” as a royal, her outfits were speaking for her.

The Duches of Sussex, 43, opened up about the subtle messages she sends through her wardrobe to support small businesses during a Monday, April 28, episode of “The Jamie Kern Lima Show” podcast.

During the episode, Lima, 47, asked Meghan how she felt about the “Meghan effect” she has on fashion.

Meghan replied that she loves her influence on fashion, sharing it felt “really great when specifically, it can help uplift brands that have a great ethos and female founders.”
