Elizabeth Hurley had a blast from the past fashion moment.
Hurley, 60, stunned in the same vintage Versace dress that she wore back in 1999 while having a “weekend adventure in India.” On Monday, March 9, she took to Instagram to show off the design, as well as moments from her weekend. Her dress featured a plunging neckline with halter straps and a fitted skirt with a thigh-high slit. The design was complete with pink and orange jewels forming a circle over her snatched waist.
The model accessorized with a diamond bracelet and a silver pendant necklace. She completed her look with dangling earrings and a bindi jewel on her forehead.
For glam, the Gossip Girl alum donned a full beat including smokey eyeshadow, dewy foundation, rosy cheeks and pink, glossy lips. Her caramel hair was parted down the middle and worn in loose curls.
“India has been a pivotal part of my life for over 20 years and I cherish every moment in this magnificent country 🇮🇳,” she captioned the post. “What a magical first night back in paradise, reuniting with some of my favourite people on the planet ♥️. Wearing a @versace dress from my archive which I last wore 27 years ago to the [1999] Met Gala 😳.”
In a separate post, Hurley made a side-by-side of herself wearing the dress now and from nearly three decades ago. “Viva Versace!” she wrote alongside the pic. “For this weekend’s adventure in India, I dug into my archives and unearthed one of my favourite pieces, which I last wore to the Met Gala in 1999 😳 27 years may have passed, but some loves never fade💋.” Her celebrity friends gushed over the moment in the comments section.
“😘💥✨,” Donatella Versace wrote, as her boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus added, “❤️❤️❤️.” Elizabeth’s son, Damian Hurley, also commented, “Hell yeaaaaaa ❤️.”
When she hit the star-studded scene years ago, Elizabeth let the dress speak for itself and opted for no jewelry. She held a sequin bag in one hand and completed her look with soft makeup. At the time, she wore her hair parted to the side and in big, voluminous curls.
