Blake Lively has a time capsule inside her closet.
Lively, 38, rocked a pair of 16-year-old Chanel heels while chatting about her Betty Buzz and Betty Booze drinks during a panel discussion on Tuesday, September 30. Her cherry red pumps featured a stiletto heel and a strappy front that crisscrossed over her feet.
The actress wore an Elie Saab outfit featuring a bright red top complete with eyelet cutouts, short sleeves, a plunging neckline and a peplum waist for the event. Lively styled the piece with matching pants, complete with a straight leg and scalloped hem.
Lively added another pop of color to her ensemble with teal dangling earrings. She further accessorized with a pinky ring and more silver earrings.
Her makeup perfectly complemented her outfit, with bronzey skin, brown eyeshadow, filled-in eyebrows, mascara and pink lips. Her honey blonde hair was parted to the side and styled in beachy waves.
Following the event, Lively took to Instagram to give fans a recap on her look and what they discussed.
“Thank you @abcfinewinespirits , Shawn, David, Jess, Jacob and the ENTIRE team for hosting @bettybuzz & @bettybooze for a conversation and tasting of our new iced tea flavors (that you can find in their stores now:) ),” Lively wrote. “We’ve worked so hard, and so personally on every single flavor and also every element of the design. Getting to share it with you and see you love them too, makes us feel so proud and grateful.”
She added, “And big shout out to @eliesaabworld for making me feel so fancy 🍓 🙏🥰 and to me for being a hoarder and keeping these gorgeous Chanel shoes since 2009. :).”
Lively also gave a shoutout to jewelry companies Particulieres and Mara Tash, writing, “And always to the bold and kind @particulieres.nyc for having the best taste in vintage jewelry 🩵💍 (ring pictured) and @mariatash for the cute earrings 🩵🩵.”
This isn’t the first time Lively has pulled out pieces from her personal collection. While filming It Ends With Us, which premiered in August 2024, she wore her own clothes, along with pieces from her husband Ryan Reynolds’ closet and borrowed items from Gigi Hadid.
“It’s like a wedding, like, something old, something borrowed, something blue or something new,” Lively told Today in August 2024.
In one scene, Lively wore crystal-embellished boots, which were her own. “Those are my real-life boots. A lot of it’s my real-life clothes or my husband’s clothes or my girlfriend Gigi’s clothes,” she explained. “I was borrowing some.”
She continued, gushing that she loved her character Lily Bloom’s style “so much.”
“I think when you see the film, her style makes sense, because she’s a woman of multitudes. It’s storytelling. To me, fashion and costume design is storytelling,” Lively added.
While she didn’t share exactly which items were from Reynolds, 48, and Hadid, 30, she was seen behind-the-scenes wearing cashmere garments from Guest in Residence, which was founded by the supermodel.
