Nina Dobrev got the most sparkly rock from Shaun White!
Dobrev, 35, announced her engagement with White, 38, on Wednesday, October 30, via Instagram. In the social media post, fans caught a glimpse of her timeless five-carat diamond from Lorraine Schwartz, which according to Lorel Diamonds jeweler Laura Taylor, features an elongated oval-cut diamond set on a classic yellow gold band.
Taylor continued in a statement to Luxury Handbag Shopping, “Based on the size and quality seen in photos shared online, I would estimate the diamond to [be] … an approximate value of $220,000 to $270,000,” she told Us.
Taylor added: “The choice of elongated oval diamond is both modern and elegant, and it is often a popular choice thanks to its excellent brilliance and elongating effect on the hand.
In the snap, Dobrev could be seen wrapping her arms around White as he lifted her in the air and kissed her. The couple, who have been dating for over four years, stood underneath a gorgeous white floral arch filled with roses, lilies and more.
“RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé 💍♾️,” Dobrev captioned the post.
Following their engagement, a source told Luxury Handbag Shopping that their engagement happened this past weekend.
“Nina was totally surprised and they’re both wildly happy,” the insider added.
As White popped the question, he looked dapper in head-to-toe Ralph Lauren. White accessorized with a charcoal bowtie and topped off his look with patent leather dress shoes.
Even though Dobrev was surprised by her engagement, she looked picture perfect in a glittery T-shirt dress by Chanel, sheer polka dot tights, black heels and a dark coat. She accessorized with stud earrings from Chanel.
The actress donned brown eyeshadow, long wispy eyelashes and blushed cheeks. Her brunette strands were curled and her bangs were blown out over her forehead. Even her nails were manicured, featuring a nude polish perfect for any engagement pictures.
