Adam Brody had one of the most stylish plus-ones at the 2025 Emmy Awards in wife Leighton Meester, who dazzled beside him on the red carpet.
The pair were all smiles as they posed together outside of the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 14.
Brody, who is nominated for his first Emmy, looked like he just won prom king in the ’80s with his Prada powder blue tuxedo and ruffled undershirt. Meester, 39, channeled her inner prom queen in a Prada pink gown that nipped in at the waist before going into a two-tone ballgown. She topped off her look with Jared Atelier natural diamonds.
To achieve Meester’s Brigitte Bardot-inspired bangs, Nexxus partnered with celebrity stylist Clariss Rubenstein for a style that’s sure to be coveted by fans.
“For Leighton’s Prada gown alongside Adam’s blue Prada suit, I wanted to embrace a retro vibe while giving her look a subtle nod to the glamorous movie stars of the 1950s, like Brigitte Bardot, but with a fresh, modern twist,” Rubenstein said in a press release.
Celebrity makeup artist Bethany McCarty, meanwhile, used Bubble Skincare to help achieve Meester’s dewy look, while celebrity groomer Kim Verbeck used ENHANSE products for Brody’s red carpet ready appearance.
The couple, who tied the knot in February 2014, took time away from their two children, 10-year-old daughter Arlo and 4-year-old son, whose name has not been revealed, to celebrate Brody’s achievement.
The actor, 45, is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his portrayal of Noah Roklov on Netflix’s Nobody Wants This.
Brody’s costar Kristen Bell is also nominated, competing in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Their show could also take home the statue for Outstanding Comedy Series at the Emmys — if the series beats out Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, The Studio and What We Do in the Shadows.
Brody has been making the awards season rounds with Meester by his side all year, beginning with the 2025 Golden Globes in January.

When asked about the biggest difference in his life from 20 years ago — when he was everyone’s favorite high schooler Seth Cohen on The O.C. — Brody said on E! News’ Live From the Red Carpet broadcast, “A family, you know, gives you a very different perspective. … I don’t want to quantify it, but it’s a big perspective shift. But hopefully it means in another 20 years I’ll be back as everyone’s favorite grandpa boyfriend.”
The following month, Brody and Meester turned heads again when they stepped out at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles for the 2025 SAG Awards.
When Brody won Best Actor in a Comedy Series at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards in February, he gave his partner a sweet shout-out.
“My darling, darling, darling wife, Leighton, thank you,” Brody said in his speech. “Thank you for sharing this life with me and sharing this journey with me and our family. I love you with all my heart.”
February proved to be a big month for both Brody and Meester — as well as Nobody Wants This fans — after news broke that Meester will be joining season 2 of the Netflix series.
Meester is set to play Joanne’s (Bell) “middle school nemesis who is now an Instagram mommy influencer,” Variety reported on February 20.
One week later, Jackie Tohn, who plays Esther Roklov on the show, exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping that Meester is “the greatest.” She gushed, “She’s as funny and smart as she is beautiful.”
Season 2 of Nobody Wants This premieres on Netflix Thursday, October 23.
