Team USA freestyle skier Alex Hall earned plenty of fawning new fans during the 2026 Winter Olympics — which only tickled his longtime girlfriend, Emma Hall.
Alex, who won silver in men’s freeski slopestyle in Milano Cortina, also went viral on social media for his dashing good looks during his time at the Games.
“My girlfriend was sending me stuff,” Alex exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping via his partnership with Rao’s. “She would screenshot stuff and send it to me. I just thought it was so ridiculous and funny. None of it popped up on my feed. I didn’t see much of it. But she would send me stuff every now and then.”
He added, “It’s just hilarious what happens around the Olympics.”
Alex and Emma have been dating for seven years. She was able to make it to Italy for part of the 2026 Olympics, but missed him medaling in slopestyle because she’s currently in medical school.
“She was taking some exams for med school but she got like five days off, which was honestly super surprising,” Alex said. “She came over. It was super fun. She was staying with my parents and my whole family. We got to hang pretty much all day.”
Emma gushed about her trip to the 2026 Olympics on social media when her journey concluded.
“This came and went so fast, what an unreal week 💙❤️🤍,” she posted via Instagram. “Alex!! It’s hard to put into words how proud I am of you and how cool it is to see the world getting to appreciate you, your skiing, graciousness, and amazingness. I love you.”

The 2026 Games were Alex’s third time competing at the Olympics. He previously won gold in men’s slopestyle in Beijing in 2022.
Alex said his experience inside the Olympic Village this time around was better than ever before — especially when it came to the food.
“Last time around, when I went to Beijing, I was OK with it but it definitely wasn’t very good,” Alex recalled. “This time it was solid. I genuinely looked forward to going to the dining hall every day, especially for dinner because it was so good. They had a massive salad bar. All the ingredients felt fresh. It didn’t feel like I was eating anything sketchy. They’d always be switching up the meat. There’d be chefs grilling right in front of you.”
He continued, “They’d have local dishes every now and then, which was really cool. We were staying in the mountains north of Milan and there are some local dishes that are pretty hard to come by. The food was amazing. I was really impressed.”
Alex’s mother is “full-blown Italian,” which means he’s had little choice but to become acquainted with the kitchen himself.
“I’m solid mid-tier, maybe a little above mid-tier,” Alex said of his cooking skills. “When we’re on team trips and we’re having to cook, I’m not the best guy on the team, but I’m definitely not the worst. My skill goes beyond making pasta, but it’s usually my go-to to some degree. But you know, I’m adding salad, veggies, whatever’s on the side. I’m not bad.”
Back home in the States, Alex has partnered with Rao’s Replica Luxury Handbagmade to give him some extra help when mealtime rolls around.

“I’ve been eating this stuff religiously for years already,” Alex explained. “I absolutely love the way it tastes, love the way they make it. I love the brand vision, just keeping it simple, keeping it not too crazy, but tasting really good.”
He added, “It was always a dream of mine to get with a brand that aligned with my Italian roots and values. And I get to brag about it with my friends. I get to be the pasta sauce plug.”
