Vanessa Bryant has found herself at the center of a viral social media rumor that she’s currently pregnant with her boyfriend’s baby.
In light of the speculation, a source with knowledge exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping that Bryant, 43, is not pregnant and does not have a long-term boyfriend.
A social media user claiming Bryant is currently expecting has gone viral on X, with the erroneous post receiving 17,000 likes, nearly 8,000 comments and more than 3,000 reposts.
Vanessa’s late husband, NBA star Kobe Bryant, was killed in a helicopter crash in January 2020. The crash also took the life of the couple’s second-oldest daughter, Gianna. Kobe was 41, while Gianna was 13.
Kobe and Vanessa also shared daughters Natalia, 23, Bianka, 9, and Capri, 6.
Vanessa was similarly forced to shut down pregnancy rumors last year. After chatter on social media suggested she was expecting a baby, Vanessa took to her Instagram Story and shared a meme of Rihanna flipping off a camera.
“Me protecting my peace, not pregnant & having fun all summer,” Vanessa captioned the image.
Vanessa has worked vigilantly to keep her late husband’s legacy alive, which was evidenced last month with the unveiling of the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Court at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, California.
“Hoag Hospital will always hold a special place in my heart having delivered our four daughters there,” Vanessa shared via Instagram on Tuesday, February 24. “The staff took such great care of us and we are happy to give back for future generations! 🤍”
Earlier in the month, Vanessa posted a throwback photo of her and Kobe via Instagram. “❤️❤️Happy Valentine’s Day Kob-Kob ❤️❤️,” she wrote.
In August 2025, Vanessa paid tribute to Kobe on what would have been his 47th birthday.
“We love and miss you and Gigi so much,” she shared via Instagram. “Sending our love to you. Happy birthday, baby.”
Vanessa is also involved with the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, named after Kobe and Gianna’s nicknames, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a positive impact for underserved youths in sports.
“Your generosity and support helped create more access, more opportunity, and more confidence for boys and girls in sports,” the organization celebrated via Instagram in December 2025. ”Because of you, more kids have had a place to belong and a team to lean on.”
The post continued, “Kobe and Gianna believed in showing up with purpose – every day, no excuses. Your support honors that spirit in the most real way: by investing in the next generation. From all of us…thank you for being part of this mission. We’re proud to carry our work forward with you in 2026.”
Last year, Vanessa wrote a book, Mamba and Mambacita Forever, which featured images of the hundreds of murals created in Kobe and Gianna’s honor.
“Thank you so much to everyone that braved the rain and attended the Mamba and Mambacita Forever book signing,” Vanessa shared via Instagram in January after an event held at The Grove in Los Angeles. “It was so lovely to meet you and sign your books. Thank you SO much for your support. Xo ❤️🙏🏽.”
