My arms are one of my biggest insecurities, and if I can cover them up with a cute top, I will. This is never a problem in the fall and winter, but in the spring and summer? Things can get tricky. Not only is it usually too warm to throw on a sweater, but most sundress styles feature spaghetti straps or cap sleeves that leave my arm exposed. And since I’d rather avoid that, I’ve become an expert in searching out sundresses with sleeves, which make me feel a lot more comfortable.

Fortunately, you don’t need to miss out on breezy, lightweight sundresses just because you want a little extra coverage. I’ve found so many cute spring options with sleeves, from chic everyday basics to luxe vacation staples. And since they can be a little tough to find, I’ve compiled my favorites below for you to shop.

17 Writer-Approved Sundresses to Cover Up Arms

1. My Favorite: This printed maxi dress has a relaxed fit and billowy sleeves that hit just below the elbow, which I love. It’s long, but lightweight enough for warm weather. Plus, all the bold prints give it an expensive look.

2. Runner-Up: Eyelet lace and a lightweight knit make this V-neck mini dress a perfect option for warm summer days. The loose fit is comfortable and the drop shoulders offer just enough coverage.

3. Office Friendly: With its striped design and longer sleeves, this mini shirtdress kind of resembles a long button-up shirt (in a good way). Bonus: It cinches in at the waist for a more flattering silhouette.

4. Comfy and Cute: Think of this pick as your new go-to T-shirt dress. It stands out among the rest, thanks to the loose short sleeves and a ruffled hem for some feminine flair.

5. Florals for Spring: This popular faux-wrap dress might be one of my favorite Amazon finds. I like the swingy skirt, flowy sleeves and V-neckline. Oh, and it comes in so many pretty and colorful floral prints.

7. Romantic Pick: With a square neck and longer length, this Free People midi dress has a romantic and almost Victorian feel that I’m obsessed with. The effortlessly chic find comes in an array of pretty colors, including a green ‘margarita mix’ option.

8. Short and Sweet: This babydoll Lulus dress is so versatile. You can easily dress it up with heels or keep it casual with flat sandals. Another great feature? The adjustable sleeves can be worn at a wrist length or scrunched up for less coverage.

9. Easy Breezy: With an airy feel, relaxed fit and lightweight fabric, this top-rated maxi dress is a dream for warm weather. It has a flattering wrap style and the drapey sleeves that hit below the elbow, which is always a plus for me.

10. Rich Mom Dress: For something a bit more sophisticated and put together, I go with this floral button-front dress. The accentuated waist provides some shape and the short sleeves are loose and comfortable.

11. Vacation Ready: Crisp white cotton and an overall airy feel make this stylish maxi dress ideal for warm-weather trips. The deep V-neck and keyhole cut-out makes the dress feel a little daring.

12. Effortlessly Chic: This cotton tunic dress is made for super hot days when you don’t want to wear anything restrictive. I love that it has longer sleeves, which shields skin from the sun. I also think it makes a cute swimsuit cover-up.

13. Go-To Style: This simple A-line mini dress would look good on anyone. The adjustable tie in the back that lets you make it as form-fitting or loose as you want, and the ruffle hem on the sleeves are a cute touch.

14. Budget-Friendly Glam: There’s something so luxe about this loose midi dress, which has a little retro feel to it.  Scrunch the sleeves up to be a bit shorter or leave them as is if you want more coverage.

15. Classic and Cute: You can’t go wrong with a classic option, like this tiered mini dress. It has a laid-back loose fit, but the right accessories can easily dress it up. I’m a big fan of the relaxed sleeves, too.

16. So Stylish: Between the detailed embroidery, airy linen feel and relaxed fit, this easy-going tunic dress is undeniably chic. I also love that it comes in petite and tall sizes.

17. Easy Basic: This flowy mini dress is one piece you can have in your closet for years — there’s just are so many ways to wear it. The longer, billowy sleeves and the definition at the waist are a bonus.
