My ultimate life goal is to look as amazing as Martha Stewart. I may not have Stewart’s genes, but I do have access to her makeup secrets and know all of the products she uses to appear 30 years younger. One item that helps her achieve that enviable radiance just so happens to be an $8 drugstore favorite.
Stewart’s long-time makeup artist, Daisy Toye, has always been forthcoming about the exact products she uses on her client. The number one thing she continuously packs when she’s beautifying the 84-year-old is the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion.
“She loves a bronzey glow,” Toye previously told Page Six.
The multitasking glow-enhancer is one of the most versatile things Toye keeps in her kit because it can be used as a primer, highlighter, all-over lotion and more. That said, she most often uses it as a base for boosted dewiness and to create a smooth canvas for the rest of Stewart’s makeup.

One reason I believe the Lumi Glotion works so well on Stewart’s mature skin is that it’s a hybrid makeup-skincare product. Rather than being pure pigment, it’s infused with glycerin and shea butter — two hydration powerhouses that flood skin with moisture. Older skin has the tendency to dry out, which leads to more prominent lines and wrinkles. When Toye smoothes this on Stewart’s skin, it acts as an extra nourishing barrier to keep her complexion looking dewy and youthful.
And this product hasn’t just become a favorite amongst celebrity makeup artists. It is a certifiable cult classic, with more than 36,000 glowing Amazon reviews. Shoppers have found a multitude of ways to incorporate it into their routine, which has helped it earn MVP status in many people’s makeup bags.
“I use it two ways: mixed in with foundation for an all-over glow, or tapped on my cheekbones as a highlight,” one reviewer wrote. “It’s perfect if you want that healthy, lit-from-within look — it’s lightweight, blends easily and doesn’t have chunky glitter, just a nice, subtle sheen.”
After nearly 10 years in the beauty industry, I have yet to find a luminizing multitasker that compares to the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glotion. But, I mean, if it’s good enough for Martha Stewart, it’s good enough for me — and you, too!
