In April 2025, Lana Del Rey performed at Stagecoach Festival for the very first time. And it’s safe to say the 39-year-old singer-songwriter’s performance was beyond memorable: She released a brand new song titled “57.5,” confessed to kissing country singer Morgan Wallen and even joined Jelly Roll on stage the day after her set. But fans are especially loving Lana Del Rey’s Stagecoach makeup… and I found out how she (and celebrity makeup artist Pammy Cochrane) did it.
I learned that everything Cochrane and Del Rey used — from highlighter to lipstick — came from Lisa Eldridge. Each product came together to create Lana Del Rey’s undeniably elegant face of makeup at Stagecoach this year. Cochrane not only revealed what she used but provided tips, as well, so here’s how you can recreate it for yourself.
Dewy Complexion
Lana Del Rey’s complexion is hydrated, clean and smooth. Her face makeup is never really over-the-top, which is what Pammy Cochrane went for in creating her look for Stagecoach.
Stay Hydrated: Indio, California, isn’t exactly the most lush venue, so keeping Lana’s skin hydrated (especially with makeup!) was totally crucial. That’s why they started with Skin and Makeup Enhancing Mist.
Even It Out: Even Lana Del Rey probably has some redness or dark spots. So after the primer, Cochrane moved onto Seamless Skin Foundation. She mixed shades 5 & 10, but other shades might work better for you, so make sure to do a little research before committing.
Total Radiance: Next, she used Elevated Glow in Crystal Nebula “on the cheekbone to give a subtle glow.” So contour with that, and you’ll be good to move onto your eye makeup.
Cat Eyes
Del Rey’s eye makeup was simple, but the winged eyeliner made a statement. It was definitely refined — especially for her — but I absolutely loved it.
Luminous Lashes: Next, Cochrane recommends applying a little Kitten Lash Mascara “in the inner corners next to the lashes and underneath.” That way, it’ll be subtle yet illuminating.
Cat Eyes: For the winged eyeliner look, use Kitten Flick Liquid Eyeliner, “Finely drawn along the outer half of eye with a small flick.” Sounds simple but this will take practice.
Audrey Hepburn Lips
You can get Del Rey’s lip look, which was inspired by Audrey Hepburn, in two simple steps.
Define: To create a little lip definition, Cochrane used Sculpt and Share Lip Pencil in 1W. You can use it to effectively draw the outline of your lips.
Dramatic Lip: Finally, she filled in Del Rey’s lips with Audrey Rouge Experience Refillable Lipstick. The shade is undeniably bold, yet seriously sophisticated.
