Gingerbread houses are getting an upgrade for the 2018 holiday season, courtesy of Peeps! The company responsible for producing the animal-shaped marshmallow treats has released something called the Gingerbread Cottage Cookie Kit, which lets consumers build a cookie structure surrounded by the festive treats.
The abode not only comes with a trio of tree-shaped Peeps to surround your house with, but is also equipped with dozens of Mike and Ike’s and Hot Tamales, which are all produced by the same company and can be used as additional decor. Per the product description, the Gingerbread Cottage Cookie Kit is “sure to be not only a delicious treat, but also a fun and interactive way to bring the holidays to your home with friends and family.”
The description also notes that the kits, which retail for $14.99, come with gingerbread house cookies, a building tray to help you construct the home, and pre-made white icing in addition to all of the aforementioned candy.
What’s more? Peeps has also released gingerbread-flavored Gingerbread Men Peeps (which inexplicably don’t come with the gingerbread house) as well as reindeer-shaped Peeps that taste like chocolate mousse, the Peep trees, marshmallow snowmen, holiday-themed vanilla creme Peep pops and chocolate-dipped, flavored marshmallow chicks.
