‘Valentine’s Day’ Cast: Where Are They Now? Julia Roberts, Taylor Swift, Bradley Cooper and More

Young love: full of promise, ignorant of reality? Valentine’s Day featured some of Hollywood’s biggest stars — and even set the stage for some real-life romance.

The romantic comedy, which was released in February 2010, followed various couples around Los Angeles as they dealt with the highs and lows of their relationships on Valentine's Day. The series of interconnected stories featured experiences of first dates, crushes, longtime relationships and even rekindling romance between old flames.

Helmed by critically acclaimed director Garry Marshall, the film was overflowing with A-list stars including Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Patrick Dempsey, Queen Latifah, Jamie Foxx and more. Two of the movie’s leads, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner, however, found love off screen after portraying high school sweethearts.

Despite calling it quits less than one year into their romance, the duo remained friends and Lautner has been spotted at a number of Swift’s concerts over the years, including making an appearance on stage her worldwide Eras Tour in July 2023. At the show, the pair announced the music video for Swift's "I Can See You" off her Speak Now (Taylor's Version) album, in which Lautner costarred.

Lautner got engaged to another Taylor — Taylor Dome — in 2021 and the pair tied the knot one year later. The “Shake It Off” artist, for her part, started dating Travis Kelce in summer 2023.

Julia Roberts

Already an A-list superstar by the time she was cast in Valentine’s Day, Roberts portrayed Captain Kate Hazeltine in the film before going on to star in Eat Pray Love that same year. In 2016, she reunited with director Garry Marshall for Mother’s Day. The Golden Globe winner also landed leading roles in 2017’s Wonder, 2018’s Ben Is Back and 2022’s Ticket to Paradise opposite George Clooney. 

In 2018, Roberts starred in Replica Luxury Handbagcoming, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama.

The Stepmom star and husband Danny Moder tied the knot in 2002 and share three children together, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and son Henry, whom they welcomed in 2004 and 2007, respectively.

Anne Hathaway

Hathaway starred in Alice in Wonderland and Love & Other Drugs in 2010 in addition to her role as Liz in Valentine’s Day. The Princess Diaries actress has continued to dominate the big screen, with roles in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Interstellar (2014), The Intern (2015), Ocean’s 8 (2018), The Hustle (2019), The Witches remake (2020) and Locked Down (2021). In 2022, she took her talents to the small screen as Rebekah Neumann in Apple TV+’s We Crashed. 

In 2012, Hathaway won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in Les Misérables.

The New York native tied the knot with husband Adam Shulman in 2012. The pair welcomed their two children, Jonathan and Jack, in 2016 and 2020, respectively.

Jessica Biel

Biel starred as Kara Monahan in Valentine’s Day before returning for another Garry Marshall film, New Year's Eve, in 2011. In 2012, she landed roles in Total Recall and Hitchcock. The 7th Heaven alum executive produced and starred on season 1 of The Sinner in 2017 and received both Golden Globe and Emmy Awards nominations for her role. 

Biel got engaged to Justin Timberlake in 2011 and the pair married less than a year later. The couple welcomed sons Silas and Phinneas in 2015 and 2020, respectively.

Jamie Foxx

Foxx, who portrayed Kelvin Moore in the movie, went on to star in critically acclaimed films like 2012’s Django Unchained and 2013’s White House Down. In 2020, he voiced Joe Garner in Disney’s Soul. 

The actor also starred as Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) and reprised his role for Spider-Man: No Way Replica Luxury Handbag (2021). In 2022, he won the NAACP Image Award for Best Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for his role as Walter McMillan in Just Mercy. He starred opposite Cameron Diaz in 2025's Back in Action which served as her return to acting.  

Foxx dated Katie Holmes from 2013 to 2019. Since their split, he's been linked to Natalie Friedman and Sela Vave. (The Jamie Foxx Show alum shares daughters Corinne and Annalise from two previous relationships.)

Bradley Cooper

After portraying Holden Wilson in the 2010 comedy, Cooper nabbed Oscar nominations three years in a row for his roles in Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and American Sniper, respectively. In 2014, he began voicing the role as Rocket in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. 

In 2018, the actor made his directorial debut with his A Star Is Born remake, which he also starred in alongside Lady Gaga. The movie was a box office hit, earning a total of eight Oscar nominations including a win for Best Original Song. His 2023 film, Maestro, which he also starred in and directed, earned seven Academy Award noinations. 

Cooper dated Irina Shayk from 2015 to 2019 and the duo welcomed a daughter, Lea, in 2017. After being linked to Huma Abedin in 2022, he began dating Gigi Hadid in October 2023.

Jennifer Garner

The Texas native has starred in movies like Dallas Buyers Club, Draft Day, Mother's Day, Love, Simon, Yes Day and more since her role as Julia Fitzpatrick in Valentine’s Day. 

Off screen, Garner has made a social media presence for herself, often taking to Instagram to post cooking videos. In 2016, she cofounded the organic baby food company Once Upon a Farm. 

The 13 Going on 30 star split from ex-husband Ben Affleck, with whom she shares three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, in 2018 after 13 years of marriage. She has been in a romantic relationship with John Miller since calling it quits with the Batman star.

Ashton Kutcher

After playing Reed Bennett in the movie, Kutcher continued on as a leading rom-com man in 2011’s No Strings Attached and 2023’s Your Place or Mine. He replaced Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men in 2011 and starred on Netflix’s The Ranch from 2016 to 2020. In 2023, he reprised his That ‘70s Show role, making a cameo as Michael Kelso on the sitcom’s Netflix spinoff, That ‘90s Show. 

In 2015, Kutcher married his ‘70s costar, Mila Kunis, and the pair are proud parents of two children: daughter Wyatt Isabelle and son Dimitri Portwood, whom they welcomed in 2014 and 2016, respectively.

Taylor Swift

The Grammy Award winner made her acting debut as Felicia Miller in the 2016 rom-com before releasing her third studio album, Speak Now, that same year. Swift went on to release seven more hit records: 2012’s Red, 2014’s 1989, 2017’s Reputation, 2019’s Lover, 2020’s Folklore and Evermore and 2022’s Midnights. She also began re-recording her first six albums after she was unable to acquire her masters and released both Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021. 

Following her appearance in Valentine’s Day, the Pennsylvania native starred in a few other films, including The Giver (2014) and Cats (2019). She also voiced Audrey in The Lorax (2012) opposite Zac Efron. 

Swift dated her Valentine’s Day costar Lautner after meeting on set in 2009. After the two went their separate ways, she was romantically linked to Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, Calvin Harris and Tom Hiddleston. The "All Too Well" singer dated Joe Alwyn for six years before moving on with Travis Kelce in summer 2023.

Taylor Lautner

Following his role as Willy Harrinton in Valentine’s Day, Lautner reprised his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight franchise. The Michigan native also made his mark on the small screen on Cuckoo from 2014 to 2018 and season 2 of Scream Queens, which premiered in 2016. 

After a brief romance with Swift in 2009, he wed Dome in 2022.

Jessica Alba

Alba starred in Machete the same year as she played Morley Clarkson in Valentine’s Day, reprising her role for the action film's sequel two years later. In 2014, she landed a role in the Sin City sequel before going on to star as Nancy McKenna in L.A.’s Finest from 2019 to 2020. 

Alba cofounded The Honest Company in 2011.

The Idle Hands ctress gave birth to daughter Haven in 2011 and son Hayes in 2017. She and husband Cash Warren also share Honor, who was born in 2008.

Emma Roberts

After starring alongside her aunt Julia as Grace Smart in Valentine’s Day, Roberts went on to land the lead role as Chanel No. 1 in season 1 of Screams Queens, which premiered in 2015. She returned for the second season the following year and made appearances in Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story. 

She’s also continued her career on the big screen with films like Scream 4, We’re The Millers and Nerve. In 2021, she starred in Netflix’s Holidate and in Prime Video’s About Fate one year later. 

Roberts sparked a romance with Evan Peters in 2012 and the duo got engaged two years later. The two ultimately split in 2019 and she moved on with Garrett Hedlund in 2019. They welcomed son Rhodes together in December 2020 before calling it quits two years later. In August of that year, the New York native began dating Cody John.

Patrick Dempsey

At the time Valentine’s Day was released, Dempsey, who shares twin sons Sullivan and Darby and daughter Talula with wife Jillian Fink, was starring as Dr. Derek Shepherd on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy before his exit in 2015. He has since starred in films including Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon (2011), Bridget Jones’ Baby (2016) and the 2022 Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted, with Amy Adams.

Topher Grace

Grace, who portrayed Jason Morris in the film, was featured in movies like Take Me Replica Luxury Handbag Tonight, Interstellar and War Machine. 

In 2019, he starred in National Geographic’s The Hot Zone before landing the lead on ABC’s Replica Luxury Handbag Economics in 2021. He reprised his That '70s Show role as Eric Forman in a cameo on Netflix's 2023 spinoff, That '90s Show.

Queen Latifah

Latifah has starred in a variety of TV series and films including The Dilemma, Joyful Noise and Girls Trip since her role as Paula Thomas in the 2010 film. From 2016 to 2019, she portrayed Carlotta on the hit FOX series Star. She currently stars on the CBS crime-drama The Equalizer. 

The rapper has been in a relationship with partner Eboni Nichols since 2013 and the duo share son Rebel.
