The bubbly 16-year-old (who wore a pink cowboy hat to her audition) proclaimed that she was Kara DioGuardi's "biggest fan," but her version of Cascada's "Every Time We Touch" didn't leave the Idol judge flattered. "That was my fan?" DioGuardi cracked. "What does that say about me?!"
She clashed with DioGuardi, who said her version of Mariah Carey's "Vision of Love" lacked "swing." Nevertheless, after a brief on-air spat with the judge, Darrell, 20, was sent through. Said DioGuardi, "It was probably a good call to wear the bikini at the end of the day."
