HBO’s upcoming new show DTF St. Louis has a star-studded cast that includes Jason Bateman and David Harbour.

According to its official synopsis, the dark comedy miniseries follows a love triangle between three middle-aged adults. However, things go awry when one of them ends up dead. In addition to Harbour and Bateman, DTF St. Louis stars Linda Cardellini, Joy Sunday, Richard Jenkins, Chris Perfetti and more.

DTF St. Louis was created by Steven Conrad, who also serves as the show’s director. The miniseries premieres on HBO Sunday, March 1, and will be available to stream on HBO Max.

Fans got a first look at the show when HBO Max released the official trailer on Thursday, January 29. In the clip, Bateman and Harbour play Clark and Floyd, respectively. The men also stumble upon the hookup app DTF St. Louis.

“You meet these people so you can … spice it,” Clark says of the app to his pal. “Spice up your life.”

Floyd is unaware of what “DTF” stands for, and Clark tells him the term is slang for “down to f***.”

While Floyd is married to Carol (Cardellini), he joins Clark on the dating app. However, Clark’s intentions are unclear, as he seemingly has his eyes on Carol.

“I would like for you to go about your business — do tasks on your phone — while you sit on my face,” Clark tells Carol in the trailer.

Amid Clark’s love triangle with the couple, Floyd ends up dead. While the detective believes Floyd died due to natural causes, special crimes steps in, claiming that there might be more to his demise. Amid their investigation, police question both Carol and Clark.

When Clark is interviewed by the police, the authorities hint that DTF St. Louis may have been a factor in his death. When it’s time for Carol to speak to the cops, she is asked whether she ever thought about leaving Floyd, and she replies, “No way, José.”
