Pump the breaks on an acceptance speech! Vin Diesel said that he really, really thinks that his upcoming film Furious 7 can win a Best Picture Oscar — but others aren’t as convinced. On Friday, Mar. 27, Conan O’Brien joked about the comment during his late-night monologue.
“Vin Diesel said something interesting. In an interview, [he] said that Fast and Furious 7 will win the Oscar for Best Picture,” the redhead host said. He cracked: “He’s being kept in a hospital overnight for observation.”
Talk show hosts Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel also delivered zingers about timely news stories. Fallon shared a video roundup of political figures “reacting” to Zayn Malik’s abrupt exit from One Direction. Some of the funny fake comments came from Dick Cheney, Senator John McCain, President Barack Obama, and Chris Christie.
As for Kimmel? He was all about Starbucks’ limited-edition birthday cake drink. The company is celebrating its Frappuccino’s 20th anniversary with the new flavor through Mar. 30.
