Travis Kelce made time to show his family love ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Houston Texans.
In an Instagram video shared by the Chiefs’ official account, Travis, 36, was filmed walking up to his mother, Donna Kelce, ahead of the Sunday, December 7, game at Arrowhead Stadium. “Hey mama,” the athlete could be seen saying to Donna, 73, before he broadened his arms to give her a warm embrace.
Dressed in dark sunglasses, a jacket and long pants, Travis smiled as he hugged his mom, giving her a quick kiss on her cheek and a rub on her shoulder before saying, “Love you” and moving on toward the evening’s preparations.
Donna showed her unwavering support for Travis via her wardrobe choice, sporting a bedazzled Chiefs jacket paired with dark pants of her own. “Family first, even on gameday!” the Instagram post’s caption read while a block of text, “Mama Kelce in the house!” also appeared on the clip, of which Donna shared via her own Instagram grid and Instagram Stories on Sunday night.
Donna wasn’t the only high-profile fan to attend the game, with Travis’ fiancée, Taylor Swift, also spotted enjoying a private suite inside Arrowhead Stadium.
Wearing her hair out for the occasion, Swift, 35, was filmed chatting to friends within the suite, per fan footage shared via X.
Donna’s public show of support comes after Travis’ older brother, Jason Kelce, recently revealed that she is urging Travis to provide her with grandchildren. During a September episode of Jason and Travis’ “New Heights” podcast, the brothers spoke about who the favorite Kelce child was. “Mom has always had Travis No. 1,” Jason, 38, claimed at the time, to which Travis responded, “Right now, Mom has Jason No. 1 because he has kids.” (Jason and wife Kylie Kelce share four daughters: Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 4, Bennett, 2, and Finn, 8 months.)
“That is true … she has made that comment. She’s putting pressure on him,” Jason then revealed.
Travis got engaged to Swift in August, with the couple sharing the news via a joint Instagram statement later that month. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the statement read alongside a series of proposal photos featuring a sea of colorful roses.
Travis’ proposal took place right after Swift appeared as a guest on “New Heights,” with the pop star later revealing that he had “crushed” the surprise.
“While we were talking on his podcast, he had a complete garden built out the back of his house to propose in,” Swift shared during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show in October. “He went all out — 10 out of 10.”
Donna offered a sweet public acknowledgement of the pair’s engagement via Facebook one day after the news broke, changing her cover photo to composite photos of Travis and Swift when they were both small children.
