The ruling on the field stands: Tom Brady absolutely trolled Joe Burrow for his recent late-night antics.
During the Fanatics Flag Football Classic Draft on Wednesday, March 18, Founders FFC captains Jalen Hurts and Brady, 48, joined Wildcats FFC captain Jayden Daniels and Burrow, 29, to select their 12-person teams for an upcoming flag football event.
Before the matchup officially takes place this weekend, Brady had a little fun at his competitor’s expense.
“That’s what they called Joe the other night at those Oscar parties, ‘Wildcat,’” Brady joked on Wednesday at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. “At least he’s here — no fashion shows to attend to.”
Burrow — who walked during Paris Fashion Week in June 2024 — appeared to be unfazed by the playful banter as he kept his hands in his pockets and smiled politely.
Earlier this week, TMZ published photos of the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback leaving the Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art on Sunday, March 15.
Tate McRae, Stassie Karanikolaou and Brady’s recent fling, Alix Earle, were all spotted in Burrow’s SUV before an unidentified party drove them off.
While Burrow hasn’t publicly commented on his relationship status, he was last linked to model Olivia Ponton.
As for Brady, he recently had a casual fling with Earle, 25, before spending time with Scooter Braun’s ex-wife, Yael Cohen.
“Alix and Tom have never been serious, and their relationship has always been casual and ‘I’ll see you when I see you’ vibe,” a source exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping earlier this month. “[Alix] is doing her own thing and having fun and is not worried about if Tom is seeing other people or the nature of their relationship.”
Need proof? In an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Vanity Fair party, Earle joked, “Maybe I’ll get someone’s number or something? I can meet someone.”
Relationships aside, both Burrow and Brady want to win big when they participate in the Fanatics Flag Football Classic. Held at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 21, the star-studded event will mark Brady’s first official return to the field since he retired from the NFL in 2023.
Saquon Barkley, Myles Garrett, Kyle Juszczyk, Stefon Diggs, Odell Beckham Jr., Rob Gronkowski and more athletes are expected to participate in the tournament.
The Fanatics Flag Football Classic airs live on Fox Sports, Fox One and Tubi Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
