While many couples have gotten engaged sight unseen in the Love Is Blind pods, not all of them have made it down the wedding aisle.
Kacie McIntosh and Patrick Suzuki were only engaged for a few hours during season 9, which aired in fall 2025, before she abruptly had a change of heart.
“He deserves somebody better than me. He’s not a bad-looking guy in any sense, but he deserves somebody that is so obsessed with him,” Kacie said in a confessional after meeting him in person. “I just, unfortunately, don’t think my attraction to him is gonna grow that much, and it sucks.”
Kacie, however, didn’t tell Patrick that she wanted to break up then and there. He later claimed on the show that the hairstylist only revealed her true intentions when he tried to set up a meeting back in their shared Denver hometown. According to Patrick, Kacie denied his request and refused to give back the engagement ring. (Kacie has since denied the claims.)
Zack Goytowski’s brief engagement to Irina Solomonova, meanwhile, did make it to the cast’s post-pod getaway during season 4. However, after four days, Irina broke up with him over a lack of attraction. Zack got over the rejection quickly and asked Bliss Poureetezadi for a second chance after dumping her in the pods. They gave it another go, made it down the aisle, said “I do” and are still married today.

Diamond Jack and Carlton Morton (Season 1)
Who could forget Diamond and Carlton’s now-infamous poolside breakup? After meeting in person and traveling to Mexico, Carlton confessed that he identifies as bisexual. Diamond, who was only hurt by her then-fiancé’s lie, walked away. Of course, she chucked her diamond engagement ring in the pool before making her exit.
Shaina Hurley and Kyle Abrams (Season 2)

Shaina broke up with Kyle on the cast trip, citing religious differences as a major factor in her decision. (Shaina is a devout Christian, while Kyle is an atheist.)
“We don’t really talk. We don’t communicate,” Kyle exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping in February 2022. “There’s nothing left. I mean, we’re not friends or anything. She doesn’t come out much. That ship has sailed.”
Irina Solomonova and Zack Goytowski (Season 4)
Irina told Us in March 2023 that it was “challenging” to turn her pod bond with Zack into a physical connection.
“Like, it was really hard to connect the connection we made in the pods versus being together,” Irina explained. “I will say that when I saw him it wasn’t anything about his looks or anything, but I just had this gut feeling that something just didn’t feel right and I didn’t feel safe or comfortable. … It was just something that grew and I feel I was kinda trying to force or pressure myself to feel these feelings for him.”
Zack, meanwhile, told Us that he regretted not proposing to Bliss in the pods. (They got married in the season 4 finale, later welcoming daughter Galileo in 2024.)
Jackie Bonds and Marshall Glaze (Season 4)
Jackie and Marshall’s relationship did make it past the season 4 vacation — but not by much.
“I knew as soon as we came back from Mexico and we started living together that it wasn’t gonna work out between me and Marshall,” Jackie told Us in March 2023. “[It was him calling me a ‘project’] and then there was another comment that he had made, and I’m not gonna go into that because it’s very, very derogatory to a group. But, he made that comment and I was just like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool. Once you disrespect me and call me out on my character, as a woman, I’m not standing for that. I’m outta here.’”
Marshall has denied Jackie’s accusations on multiple occasions.
Taylor Rue and JP Pierce (Season 5)
During Taylor and JP’s Mexico getaway, their seemingly effortless communication style from the pods faltered. JP also openly criticized his then-fiancé for wearing too much makeup.
“I didn’t call it off [just] because of the makeup comment. Yes, it’s hurtful, but I would never end a relationship because of an opinion,” Taylor told Us in September 2023. “I left because the version of JP that I fell in love with was no longer there and that was scary to me. I was supposed to go home and live with this person and I felt like I didn’t even know him in Mexico. So, I thought long and hard because part of me wanted to stay and part of me was like, ‘I’m done. I’m going home.’”
Brittany Mills and Kenneth Gorham (Season 5)

After Kenneth and Brittany returned home from Mexico, she noticed a major disconnect in her romance with the educator. Brittany claimed Kenneth would ignore her for his phone, and they broke up over a lack of intimacy.
Laura Dadisman and Jeramey Lutinski (Season 6)
Laura broke up with Jeramey after they returned to Charlotte when she suspected that he cheated on her with fellow contestant Sarah Ann Bick.
Laura claimed that she checked Jeramey’s location one night when he went out with friends, noticing that he was spotted by Sarah Ann’s house. While Jeramey denied the cheating allegations, he did start dating Sarah Ann after Laura left. They were together for nearly a year before going their separate ways.
Chelsea Blackwell and Jimmy Presnell (Season 6)

Chelsea and Jimmy nearly made it to the altar, until a blowout argument changed the trajectory of their relationship.
“We were fighting really hard to get there, and I had really strong feelings about her,” Jimmy told Us in 2023. “We’re learning more and more about each other [every] single day and the couple days leading up to it, it was more of a fight to give her one extra day, unfortunately. … She broke my trust in a big way, and that really, really hurt me. And it was all I could think about. And that came from a place of me caring about my friends and not wanting my friends’ details and everything out there. I loved her.”
Chelsea, meanwhile, claimed to Us that she was “blindsided” by Jimmy’s decision, since they discussed their wedding dance song just one day earlier.
Alex Byrd and Tim Godbee (Season 7)
Despite a big off-camera argument in Mexico, Alex and Tim reconciled when they returned to Washington, D.C. until another fight derailed their nuptials altogether.
“Tim was very, very strategic on what he talked about in front of the camera, and I allowed that because if he doesn’t want to share something, he doesn’t have to,” Alex told Vulture in October 2024, responding to Tim’s claims that their relationship was toxic. “If something bothered him, he would not address it until after we got off camera. And sometimes it would turn into an argument because when you come from two different worlds, you might take something a different way, and we [were] just trying to understand each other.”
Marissa George and Ramses Prashad (Season 7)
Ramses broke up with Marissa just days before their wedding was scheduled, claiming that he just wasn’t ready to tie the knot.
“I need a partner who’s gonna anticipate my needs a bit more [and] who’s gonna allow me to be the more emotional one and not have me lead the relationship as much,” Marissa later told Us in November 2024. “I figured that out with Ramses.”
Hannah Jiles and Nick Dorka (Season 7)

Hannah ended her engagement after returning to D.C. after questioning Nick’s perceived lack of maturity. She also claimed that Nick called her a “grenade” behind her back, which he denied.
“I just think is a very calculated person,” she said during the reunion. “So I think my frustration was just, like, ‘What the f*** is going on?’”
Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy (Season 7)

Brittany and Leo’s engagement barely made it out of the pods.
“After the reveal, the producers asked if we wanted to be put in touch, which we of course did,” Leo told Entertainment Weekly in October 2024. “We decided, ‘Let’s have our own version of a post-reveal engagement trip,’ so we spent a few days in L.A. and a few days in Miami, and while we had an amazing time, I think we both realized that we just weren’t really going to end up getting married. After a lot of thought, we decided that we just didn’t see it happening, and we’re really good as friends.”
Brittany and Leo are still friendly to this day, often hanging out in various social media videos and joking about their failed engagement.
Monica Davis and Stephen Richardson (Season 7)

Monica couldn’t wait to marry Stephen — until she discovered that he texted another woman about his sexual fantasies while participating in a sleep study.
“You were laying in a sleep test bed texting a girl while you are engaged, that you want to do dirty kinks. It was disgusting,” she told him, abruptly ending their engagement.
Lauren O’Brien and Dave Bettenburg (Season 8)
After returning from Mexico, Lauren was wary that Dave was hesitant to introduce her to his friends and sister. Meanwhile, he couldn’t quite wrap his head around having a mutual connection to Lauren’s pre-show fling.
“There was definitely an element of sadness, but I do feel like you see the moment that I shift — when he starts to get mad at me and mad at my family,” Lauren told Us in February 2025 of their movie theater-set breakup. “The anger that came from him, I was done. I immediately knew we’re never getting past this. My husband would not speak to me like this. I hope that that comes across clear.”
Kacie McIntosh and Patrick Suzuki (Season 9)

Within hours of meeting Patrick in person, Kacie realized that she wasn’t attracted to him. He later alleged that Kacie was unwilling to have a conversation about the status of their engagement.
“He did not reach out to me. I reached out to him,” Kacie said on an October 2025 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast, contradicting Patrick’s version of events. “We got back on a Friday. He wanted to have a phone call or meet up immediately. I was like, ‘Listen, I’m so emotional right now, I just got home it’s not going to be the outcome you want.’”
According to Kacie, she also heard that Patrick told the other men that he should have proposed to Anna Yuan if she didn’t self-eliminate.
“I was like, ‘This is not my love story,’” Kacie added.
Madison Maidenberg and Joe Ferrucci (Season 9)

Joe ran out of his tux fitting (with Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” playing in the background) before realizing that he couldn’t marry Madison because their connection just wasn’t right.
“My connection with Madison in the pods was great. There were a lot of butterflies. It was a very deep connection. We had a lot of laughs,” Joe exclusively told Us in October 2025. “When you’re going into [the pods], there is a little hesitation, and then the more you go forward, you get bought in and it is a pressure cooker situation. The conversations you have in there are very deep and exceed what would be in a regular relationship just by timeline. The more it went on, I could see it working out.”
He continued, “It seemed Madison was all in and what you would want in a person. I, on the other hand, had some concerns. I never saw that coming from Madison. I think it scared me seeing that as well.”
Joe told Us he hit his “breaking point” while looking at tuxedos and couldn’t proceed with the experiment any longer.
Annie Lancaster and Nick Amato (Season 9)

Annie and Nick’s relationship didn’t even make it to the dress and tux shopping excursions. One day earlier, the pair got into a major argument that had Nick questioning whether he could pursue his relationship with the hairstylist any further because of “fundamental disagreements.”
“Getting to the altar, that’s not a happy idea for me,” Nick told Annie. “The wedding is not something I want to do. The reason I’m not willing to marry you is because I am unhappy.”
