Kyle Cooke issued a public apology toward his estranged wife Amanda Batula after going off on his now-ex during the latest episode of Summer House.
“There’s no excuse for how I acted last summer,” Kyle, 43, wrote in a statement via Instagram alongside a throwback photo of the former couple on Thursday, March 26. “The way I spoke to and about Amanda was unacceptable, and it’s brutal to watch back. But not nearly as painful as what she’s had to go through.”
“Amanda and I have already spoken about all of this but I felt the need to acknowledge this,” Kyle continued, sharing why he felt compelled to address their spat after having a private exchange with her to right his wrongs. “I’m truly sorry and regret the way I handled myself. I know nothing can erase the hurt I caused, she never deserved that, and I need to be better.”

Fans saw Kyle explode on Amanda, 34, during the Tuesday, March 24, episode amid a contentious fight that was filmed months before their breakup.
Kyle admitted to the cameras that he felt “isolated” and “alone” with Amanda, calling her out during a night of drinking with friends and dropping an F-bomb.
Kyle, who was visibly intoxicated, claimed to their costar West Wilson that Amanda “gave me f*** you eyes,” following which West, 31, defended her and said that wasn’t the case.
Amanda, for her part, claimed that was “a calm version of Kyle” and something she’d been privately dealing with for a decade, noting that she wasn’t “perfect” either.
The fight escalated after Kyle proceeded to accuse Amanda of spending all her time with their friends and icing him out when they’re at bars and in their shared house. Amanda told Kyle that she only does her own thing because he’s with random people.
“You’re a f***ing dumbass bitch,” Kyle told Amanda as she walked out of the room. She replied, “Oh yeah, I’m a dumbass bitch, Kyle.”
Kyle cooled off before a confessional and explained why he reached his breaking point. “There’s no excuse to drop the F-bomb and say ‘f*** you’ to your wife,” he said before adding, “But I’m only human. I can only go so long getting the cold shoulder, getting the small but steady jabs. I used to think it was all in my own head until I’ve watched some of these summers back.”
Kyle and Amanda began dating in 2015 before exchanging their vows in September 2021. They announced their split in January 2026.
