Summer House fans called out Amanda Batula and West Wilson’s touchy-feely dynamic before the costars confirmed their romance.
While most eyes were on Kyle Cooke after he called Amanda a “f***ing dumbass bitch” during the March 24 episode of Summer House, some were fixated on how West, 31, jumped in to defend Amanda, 34, and later console her.
After Kyle, 43, yelled at his wife in their bedroom, Amanda walked off to get something from the kitchen. In a clip that is making its rounds on TikTok, a frustrated Amanda walked into West in the hallway, and he grabbed onto her arm to try and comfort her.
As she pushed him away and continued to move toward the kitchen, fans noticed that West was actually holding onto her hand. Amanda, for her part, appeared to brush her arm across West’s back and onto his hand before she left the room.
“Excuse me???” one fan captioned the clip while highlighting the intimate moment between the then-friends.
Elsewhere in the episode, West confronted Kyle about yelling “f*** you” at Amanda in what he described as an “unprovoked” action.
West insisted that Kyle apologize for his actions and told him it was “all in his head” and that Amanda didn’t “hate” him. (Kyle and Amanda announced their split in January after four years of marriage.)
West was also a shoulder for Amanda to cry on after the upsetting altercation with Kyle.

“There was a part of me that was like, ‘This is the best I’m ever going to do. And he loves me so much,’” Amanda told West as she started to cry in the bathroom. “[I was] constantly making excuses.”
The explosive episode — which was filmed in summer 2025 — is now raising even more eyebrows among fans after West and Amanda confirmed they are exploring a romantic relationship after Amanda and Kyle announced their split earlier this year.
West and Amanda sparked romance speculation earlier this month when they were spotted spending time together on several occasions.
While West claimed during a March 24 appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen that he was “just hanging out” with Amanda because “she’s single now,” fans weren’t buying it — Especially after West’s ex and Amanda’s longtime BFF Ciara Miller seemingly stopped “liking” her social media posts.
Amanda and West issued a statement about their relationship on Tuesday, March 31, confirming it was “still very new.”
“It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” the reality stars explained, seemingly referring to Kyle and Ciara’s feelings related to Amanda and West dating.
According to the pair, they’ve “shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
West and Amanda concluded: “As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless. We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
Summer House airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
