The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newcomer Bozoma Saint John was married to husband Peter Saint John for a decade before his 2013 death.
“I’m widowed,” Bozoma told Dorit Kemsley during the RHOBH season 14 premiere in November 2024. The former Netflix CMO noted that she understood Dorit’s marriage situation because she and Peter had separated prior to his death. (In May 2024, Dorit and husband PK Kemsley separated after nine years.)
“The reason why I empathize is that 10 years into our marriage, we separated,” Bozoma revealed. “We never got divorced. But then he got sick, and we reconciled. He had cancer and, you know, it’s complicated.”
Bozoma and Peter married in 2003 and welcomed daughter Lael in 2009.

Their 1st Meeting
Bozoma recalled meeting Peter in New York. They crossed paths “in the cafeteria of the building we both worked in,” she shared in a 2019 Instagram caption.
“I was ordering breakfast, and, admittedly, taking my time. He was impatient and also trying to figure out a way to get my attention,” Bozoma recalled. “He yelled out from the back of the line, ‘You look like royalty, but you don’t own this place. Hurry up and order!’ Well…he succeeded in getting my attention and royally pissing me off. So, it didn’t help his cause when he tried to ask me out for consecutive days after that.”
Bozoma made him read Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison before agreeing to go on a date.
Getting Married
Peter proposed exactly one year after their first date. The couple tied the knot in June 2023 during a ceremony hosted in New York City.
Expanding Their Family
Bozoma gave birth to a stillborn daughter named Eve. The RHOBH star detailed her pregnancy and birth experience in her 2023 memoir, The Urgent Life: My Story of Love, Loss, and Survival.
Bozoma and Peter welcomed their rainbow baby, Lael, in May 2009.
Peter’s Diagnosis
Bozoma and Peter were married for 10 years before he was diagnosed with cancer in 2013. He died by December of that year.
“We had so many conversations, which I’m so thankful for,” she recalled during Talks at Google in May 2023. “I am thankful. I’m thankful for the moments to talk about life. … Life becomes very clear when we know the end is coming.”
