The elusive chanteuse is elusive no more! Mariah Carey has announced her first new album in nearly seven years — and the Lambily can rest easy knowing that it’s coming very soon.

The Grammy winner, 56, revealed the title and release date for her next project in an Instagram post on Monday, July 21, after teasing “MC16” via social media one day prior. “Here For It All 🦋 My new album out 9/26 🦋,” Carey wrote in the caption. “Pre-order now!”

The accompanying video shows the “Fantasy” singer — dressed in all black and wearing stiletto, patent leather boots — walking through a room as the album’s cover is displayed behind her. The clip ends with her belting the line, “Baby, I’m here for it all,” which seems to be from the album’s title track.

Here for It All is Carey’s first album since the 2018 release of Caution. Last month, she teased fans with the single “Type Dangerous.”

Shortly after “Type Dangerous” debuted, a music insider exclusively told Luxury Handbag Shopping that Carey was ready for her next chapter.

“Mariah is really pleased with the positive reception to her new song, ‘Type Dangerous,’” the source explained. “She has high hopes for her upcoming album, as does her team.”

While Carey hasn’t been in hiding for the past seven years, most of her output has been limited to her holiday concerts and her Apple TV+ Christmas special.

“She is, of course, amazed by the renewed success of ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ each year, but she wants to remind the world that she’s more than just the Queen of Christmas,” the insider told Us. “It’s been a while since Mariah has had a new hit, but everyone around her is confident that this will be her most fruitful and successful era in over a decade.”

Carey’s last non-holiday No. 1 single was 2008’s “Touch My Body.” While “Type Dangerous” hasn’t hit the top spot, it marks her 50th song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and her most successful radio single in more than a decade.

This summer also marked the 35th anniversary of the “Butterfly” singer’s self-titled debut album. She also collaborated with Barbra Streisand and Ariana Grande on the track “One Heart, One Voice,” which appears on Streisand’s new duets album, The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume 2.

Here for It All is out Friday, September 26.
