Newly single Love Is Blind alums Alexa Lemieux and Brennon Lemieux did not sign a prenup before saying “I do.”
“No, we never had one. I also never asked for one,” Alexa, 31, shared during an Instagram Q&A in December 2022. “It’s something that Brennon brought up and asked about getting one to protect me. It’s just something I wasn’t interested in doing.”
At the time, the Netflix reality star explained that there was “nothing wrong” with wanting to get a prenup before getting married.
“It’s absolutely OK,” she noted. “It’s just not something I personally wanted.”
Brennon, 35, also weighed in on the topic and shared his viewpoint that if a significant other does ask for a prenup before tying the knot, it’s important not to take it as a “slight” or a sign of distrust.
“They’re just trying to help everything out in the case that something might happen in the future,” he said.
Alexa and Brennon’s comments are being resurfaced after the couple announced their split after four years of marriage.
In a social media post, Alexa confirmed the news and noted the choice “was not made lightly.”

“It comes with a great deal of care, respect and appreciation for the time we’ve shared,” she wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, December 3. “We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way. While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter and committed to navigating this transition with compassion.”
After meeting on Love Is Blind season 3, which was filmed in 2021 and aired on Netflix in 2022, the pair agreed to get married with cameras rolling. They later welcomed a daughter named Vienna in July 2024.
“One year ago today, I found out I was pregnant with our precious daughter,” Alexa shared via Instagram in November 2024. “All of my hopes, dreams, wishes and prayers came true in one moment.”
The couple showed no signs of relationship troubles as they continued to document milestones on social media. Most recently, Alexa and Brennon celebrated Halloween together as a family.
For the spooky holiday, Alexa went as Mickey Mouse while Brennon dressed up as Goofy. Baby Vienna completed the Disney theme as she wore a Minnie Mouse costume ahead of trick or treating.
“Excited to dress up tonight and put up the Christmas tree tomorrow,” Alexa joked via Instagram on October 31.
As both Alexa and Brennon move forward with a divorce, many fans won’t forget the positive memories in the couple’s love story.
“I’m head over heels in love with her, I was absolute in the way that I felt,” Brennan told Us in November 2022 after the season 3 reunion aired. “Things are wonderful. We’ve been able to finally get the families together for a bunch of different events. … Life is great. Life is wonderful.”
