Lady Gaga has postponed her Mayhem Ball concert in Miami due to vocal issues.

The singer, 39, was set to perform at Kaseya Center on Wednesday, September 3. She announced the postponement via her Instagram Stories at 8 p.m. ET.

“Hi everyone I am really so so sorry,” she wrote, “but I need to postpone tonight’s show in Miami.”

Gaga explained, “During rehearsal last night and my vocal warmup tonight my voice was extremely strained and my Dr and vocal coach have advised me not to go on because of the risk it poses. I want to be hardcore and just push through this for you but I don’t want to risk long term or permanent damage on my vocal cords.”

She continued: “There is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night — and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice.”

Gaga then asked her fans for forgiveness.

Gaga launched The Mayhem Ball in July. The high-energy, high-drama concerts — her first since 2022’s Chromatica Ball — feature songs from her critically acclaimed latest album, Mayhem, along with many of her greatest hits.

For now, she’s still scheduled to perform on Saturday, September 6, and Sunday, September 7, at Madison Square Garden in New York City before moving on to three dates in Toronto starting September 10.

In a recent rave review, Luxury Handbag Shopping dubbed The Mayhem Ball “a statement piece of a stage show rivaled only by [Gaga’s] career-making Monster Ball in 2010.”
